out to be a solid win for the Blyth
team.
This was a game in which the
Overloads controlled the play from
the drop of the puck to the final
buzzer. Excellent performances
were put in Wayne McDougall for
fivegoalswith the assistance of
Rick (Digger) Finch. The game was
one which appeared to lift the
spirits of the Oldtimers as their
record of more recent date appears
to have a slight tinge of Blue and
White.
The enthusiasm and excitement
of this win over Ayton Oldtimers,
however, did not last long as
Radford Overloads travelled Janu

where they had a return match

Although the score was lopsided

This would not be the only
disappointment for the Overloads
in the recent string of games as the

Zurichboys put the pressure on
Blyth but Mike Henry was able to
stop them every time.
Larry Hunking passed the puck
to Kriss Snell as he was breaking
down the ice to set him up on a clear
breakaway. Kriss made no mistake
as he put the puck between the
Zurich goalies pads. This resulted
in Kriss’s first short-handed goal
of the night. With this incentive the
Blyth boys continued to totally
dominate the Zurich team in all
aspects of the game.
Dan McDougall scored at 11:07
of the frist, assisted by Kriss Snell.
