Promises for a better world In January, the pupils of Shirley Lyon’s Grade 3 class at Walton Public School made some New Year’s resolutions which should help to make the world a better place for all of us to live. Here are some of the best of them: give warm fuzzies or compliments; smile more; be thankful; be friends; work faster; complain less; be polite; be prompt. Visit someone who is lonesome; phone someone who is sick; forgive grudges; control temper; write a letter; get organized. Play with someone who is by himself; take turns in conversa tions; be a good listener; be more cheerful. Can the rest of us do as well?
