Joynt was elected reeve of the Village of Lucknow• with a 12-vote margin over Alex W. Hamilton. A second nomination meeting was called to fill a vacancy on both the council and the Public School Board. • Ashfield Township Council was returned by acclamation, and included Reeve Cecil Blake and Councillors John Bradley, Andrew Ritchie, Donald McKenzie, Tom Howard. West Wawanosh Township Council was returned by acclama- tion and included • Reeve' John Durnin and Councillors ,Eldon Miller, Lorne Durnin, Orville McPhee; Harvey Culbert.
