Dear Sir,
I am attempting to complete a
genealogy 'of my family. I would
like to know if your office could give

However, I have -no proof of same.

QUEENS 'PARK
'CONTINUED FROM PAGE 11
by garbage can be used• to produce
methanol.' This is not a new
concept, because the Germans
were'running their cars on methan-
ol prior to the second world war,
but the outbreak of the war and the
fact that oil was so cheap at that
time and up until 1972 meant that
everyone forgot about the potential
of this technology. Cars can burn
this product with very little
adjustment to the carburetor and
manifold system. It can also be
used as a fuel source for tractors
and machinery.
I recommended to the Minister
that the Government should make
concerted attempts to develop and
refine this technology, not only as a
method by which we can cope with
much of our garbage,, but also as a
method to produce some ,of our
energy needs.
