Miss Alice Leith, age 59, of
Listowel passed away at University
Hospital, London on Tuesdiy,
November 23. She hod been
hospitalized , for the past three
months.
Alice was born at Blyth on March
28, 1917, a daughter of John H,
Leith and. Susan Livermore.
The Leith family moved to
Lucknow where Alice spent her
school years, In 1940 they moved
to Hamilton. -
She is survived by two brothers,
George Leith of Listowel and Jack
Leith of Clearwater, Florida.
She was predeceased by her
parents and one brother Greg
Leith.
Miss Leith was a member of
Cahrary United Church, Listowel.
The funeral •service was held at'
the Robert' Trench Funeral Home,
Listowel. Rev. Rae Grant was
minister. Interment was in Myth
(Union) Cemetery.

home for.. the week-end from
Guelph, where she is 'attending
University.
School children were home on
Friday, as it was a Professional
Development (P.D.) Day when the
teachers go to school. Brookside
staff spent part of the, morning
exploring ideas for developing
listening skills. A 'film strip was
shown followed by discussion.
Then teachers met in smaller
groups for unit planning. A
pot-luck dinner was enjoyed at
noon and the afternoon was spent
in individual-lesson plannkg. The
teachers were happy to welcome
Miss Vianne Trezise, French
teacher, who underwent back
surgery in. London two weeks ago.
She may be under doctor's care for
the next three month s before'she
can return to the classroom.
MOVED TO NEW QUARTERS
" Dungannon Post Office has
recently moved to/ new , quarters
adjacent to the old. The Post Office
-is now housed in the rear of the
grocery store operated by Mr. and
Mrs.: A. J. Shearwood. bass Cathy
Pentland, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Ron Pentland, is working
part time in the Post Office.
Mrs. Robert Elgie (neeViolet
Finnigan( was honoured by her
family on her 80th birthday at her
home hi Seaforth. Several from
this area attended the' Open House
for her.
Mr. and Mrs. A. J, Sherwood
visited Mr.. and Mrs. Robt.
Sherwood in Sarnia on. Sunday.
Sympathy is extended. to iela-
tiVes said friends on the death of
Mr. Lorne kers on Sunday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Caution of
Stoney, Point visited her parents,
Mr. and Mrs.. Marvin Smith, on the
week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stirling,
Darlene and Harold of Thamesville
spent' the week-end with Betty's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rol*. Irvin.
On Sunday morning the Christ-
ian _Fellowship Church congrega-
tion enjoyed a missionary film
entitled, "WhatIlipperied at
Cleanvater?", with emphasis 'on
different mission fields in North .4
America. At the evening service an
inspiring mersage was brought by
guest speaker, Rev. John Drudge
of Genie.

Workshop on Agriculture took
place last Monday night at
Brookside School with Finlay.
MacDonald as chairman. Bill.
Bmadworth of the Ministry of
Agriculture at Clinton, and Ian
Deslauriers of Winghani, manager
of Maitland Consemlion Authority
were there to answer questions:
