Ctuidelabras with arrangements 'of yellow and white daisy mums
formed the setting in Lucknow
United Church Saturday, October
9th at 7 p.m. for the marriage of
Nancy Susan. Kirkland and Gordon
Matthew Folkard. Parents of the
couple are Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Kirkland of Lucknow and Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Folkard of. Calgary,
Alberta.
The double ring ceremony was
perfoimed by Rev. Doug Kaufman.
The bride, who was given in
marriage, by, her parents, wore a
dress of White polyester cotton with
empire waistline and small standup
collar, long tapered sleeves with
double frill at wrist, deep daisy lace
formed lower part • of skirt and full
chapel train. ,;A double frill of plain
polyester trimmed the edge of the
skirt and train. A small beaded
bridal headpiece held her elbow
length veil in place and she carried
a bouquet of orange sweetheart
roses, miniature carnations, white
baby's breath and ivy.
The matron of honour, Mrs. Ken
(Katherine) Kirkland of Milton,
sister-in-law of the bride, wore a
dress of, yellow, orange and white
striped swiss dot with plain white
swiss dot puff sleeves, the skirt had
a deep flounce at hemline.
The bridesmaids, Mrs. Charles
(Linda) Shelmar, sister of the
grOom, from Calgary and Annette
Kirkland, niece of the bride from
Lucknow, wore identical dresses as
the maid of honour., All wore white
picture hats with orange ribbon
trim.
Lana Gaye Kirkland of Kings-
ville, niece of the bride, was flower
girl wearing, a white, swiss dot
dress trimmed with orange and
made similar to bridesmaid's
dresses. - All attendants carried
white baskets with yellow daisy
mums, orange tinted ' baby's
breath and ivy.
Harold Wkkie of Ottawa, friend
of the groom, was groomsman.
Ushers were Kenneth Kirkland of
Milton, brother of the bride, and
Arie De Bruyn of Wingham, friend
of the groom. They all wore brown
tuxedos with brovgn velvet lapels
and boutonnieres of yellow daisy
mums. The groom wore the, same
with a boutonniere of orange rosés.
Miss Mary Ellen Havens played
the wedding music. Miss Fran
Ienion and Jim Feairs of Mount
Forest with guitar accompaniment
sang "The Wedding Song" before
the ceremony and "Grace", during
the signing of the, register.
The ' reception was held •at
Brookside School where the colour
scheme, of yellow and orange was
carried out.
The mother of the bride wore a
long dress of green and white
flowered' chiffon over green crepe
with a corsage of white and yellow
mums and carnations.
The mother of the groom wore a
long pink crepe dress and full
length sleeveless coat with corsage
of deep pink mums and carnations.
The guests danced to the music
of Wilbee's orchestra, a smorgas-
bord meal was served during the
'evening. ,
The bride's travelling costume
was a rust jump suit with multi
shades of brown with 'turtle neck

The groom is employed at Burke
Electric, Wingham. The bride is
employed by 'Huron County School
13oard, teaching at Turnberry
Central Public School.
Special guest at the wedding was
the groom's grandmother, Mrs.
