Mrs. Elizabeth MacDonald visit-

patient in Kincardine Hospital.

has returned home after spending
three Weeks in Si. 'Joseph's
Hospital, London'. g
Alice Leith has been a patient in
University Hospital, London for
three months, Any friends who

drop her a'line, says Jack Leith Jr.,
visiting his old home town' froni
Florida.
Mrs.. Albert ten Pas, Activity
Director at Pinecrest Manor Nurs-
ing Home, Lucknow, is a patient in
University Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hawley,
Leslie, Pamela and Bernie of
Oshawa spent last weekend with
her mother, Mrs. Lorne Woods,
Lucknow. Visitors on Sunday were
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Taylor of
Clinton, Mrs. Wm. Worsell and.
Shawn of Goderich.
Blair McCann and daughter
Carole of Chicago visited over the
weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd
Robb, Ashfield Township: Visiting
at the same home was their
daughter Mrs. Jack Wilson, Mr.
Wilson, Lea and Brenda of London.
Mrs. Pete Murray and Jack from
Royal Oak, Michigan, visited
relatives in Lucknow, St. Augustine
and Goderich -for a few days last
week.
University of Toronto and Knox
College, was yaised on a farm nerr
Orillia and was ordained in 1956 in
his home church. Mr. and Mrs.
Nugent have five children, Cathy
15, Margaret 13, Joey 11 and twins
Nancy and Terry, who will be '6 in
January.-
Rev. Jim Bushell of St. Andrew's
United Church, himself just a new
arrival here, welcomed Rev. Nug-
ent to the area mentioning the
co-operation between the • three
village churches, St. Pauls, Knox
and St. Andrews. Rev. George
Garratt of St Pauls was unable to
be present.
The ladies of the church served
lunch to all present in Knox Sunday
School 'room.
About a dozen ministers were
present and also the elders of both
the Ashfield. and Knox congrega-
tions welcomed Mr. Nugent.

On Sunday Confirmation Service
was held in St.' John's Anglican
Church, Bervie, with Bishop David
D. Ragg officiating and Rev.
George Garratt assisting. Those
from St. Paul's, Ripley, joining the
church were Murray Scott, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott; Richard
and Robert Rock, "sons of Mr. and
Mrs. Oraen Rock; Robbie Farrell,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Farrell.
Mrs. T. E. Marion, the former
Kathryn Liddle of Ripley, has
returned to Lahr,' West Germany.
She visited • her mother, Mrs.
Florence Liddle . of Ripley, and
brothers for the past few days. The
Liddle family held a dinner party in
the Ripley Huron Legion Hall on •
Saturday evening with family
members from Winnipeg, Oakville, •
Lahr, Kitchener, Mississauga,
Huron Township, Kincardine and
Ripley present.
All had a very pleasant evening.
Her brothers are Bob in Winnipeg,
Doug in Huion, Dinnie in Metro
Toronto and Norman in Kincard-
ine. By now Kathryn is back home
in Lahr, West Germany.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Collyer, Chris
and Lisa of Meaford, Mr. and Mrs:
Thom Collyer of Orangeville, Mr,
/and Mis: Tim Collyer of Campbell-
ford spent last weekend at the
home of their. parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Stuart Collyer.
Mrs. Ron Rothwell of Norwood;
Miss Rosemary gothwell and Barry
Neilson of Toronto; Ned Martin of
Long Beach, California. Miss,
Joanne Thompson and Rod McFar-
lane of Brainpton, spent last
weekend with Mrs. Campbell
Thompson, Lucknow.

On Sunday afternoon the moder-
atdr of the Bruce Maitland Presby-
tery, Rev. R. G. MacDonald, was in
charge at the biduction Service
held •in Knox Presbyterian •Church,
Ripley, for Rev. Hugh L. Nugent,
B.A., B.D., the new minister' for
the Knox and Ashfield congrega-
tions. • Mr. and Mrs. Nugent and
family have been in Wyoming, near
Sarnia, for the past ten years.
