A thousand people filled the
large church at St. Mary's,
Kitchener for commencement day
on a 'Sunday afternoon' recently,
when two hundred and thirty girls.,
from the St. Mary's High School
received their diplomas. Among
the giaduates Was Debra Ann
Leddy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Dennis Leddy. A social afternoon
followed at their home. Attending
from this area were Mr. and Mrs.
Raymond Leddy of Lucknow, Mr.
and Mrs. Ken Leddy, Diana and
Kevin Leddy of St. Augustine.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sears of
Columbus; Ohio and Mr. and Mrs,
Bill Deatrick of Toledo, Ohio, were
recent visitors with. Mrs. Clarence
Bell, Wingham. Other visitors for
the weekend with Mrs. • Bell were
her nephew Ted McCullough and
Mrs. McCullough of Toledo.
Congratulations go to the Dairy
Branch, Tara, in receiving the
Grand 'Championship Award for
butter prints at the Royal Winter
Fair, Toronto. They were also
same award winners., at the Canad-
ian National Exhibition. John
MacDonald, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Peter MicDOnald of Lucknow, is
the butter maker at the Tara plant.'
Mr.. and Mrs. Leo Courtney,
Goderich, visited the Raymond
Leddy family, Lucknow, prior to .
their .trip to Spain.
Louis Taylor of Lucknow is a
patient in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London. He suffered a fractured
hip in a fall at his home last Sunday
evening Mr. Taylor was moved by
ambulance to hospital on Monday'
where he was to go undergo
surgery on Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs.' Ken teddy, Diana
and Kevin of R. R. 2 Auburn, Mr.
and Mrs. Danny Leddy and David,
Lucknow, visited with their father
Raymond Leddy, Lucknow, on his
birthday last Friday, also celebrat-
ing Kevin Leddy's birthday on the
same day. Other visitors at the
teddy home were Mr. and Mrs.
Wayne Fear, Paul and Brian of
Brussels on Sunday and Kathleen
teddy' of London visited with her
parents for a few days last week
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ashton of
Lucknow left Wednesday 'to spent
the winter in Hallandale, Florida.

daughter Miss Lynne of Edmonton
and son John of Kingston, were
weekend guests In Lucknow with
Mrs. Earl Wightman and Harvey,
while visiting with the former's
mother, Mrs. Carrie Ferguson at
