Thompson WO Remembrance hi -Speaker KINLOUGH NEWS ' The annual Remembrance Day service was held 'in the Holyrood Hall on Thursiday morning. P. A. Murray, a veteran of World War I, was chairman and gave, a few very fitting remarks after which 2 minutes silence was observed followed by prayer by. Rev. G. Thompson. The hymn "0 God our help' in ages past" was sung and Mrs. Ted Collyer placed the wreath for Kinloss Township. Sandra Smith placed the wreath for the Girl Guides and the one for the Brownies was placed by Cheryl Smith. Frank MacKenzie favoured with a lovely, solo "0 God of hive, 0 king of peace" accompanied by Mrs. Leonard Clark. The guest speaker, Rev. Gerald Thompson of Teeswater and Kin- lough Presbyterian Churches, gat,e a fitting Remembrance 'Day Mes-' sage. • Mrs. Albert Colwell gave an appropriate reading' and Reeve Leo Murray brought greetings from the Township of Kinloss. Mrs. William MacPherson, /president of the Holyrood Wonien's Institute, ex- pressed thanks to all who took part in 'the service. On Monday evening, Colin La- mont, aged 34 of London, was killed when struck by a motor vehicle. Funeral service was held at .the Needham Funeral Home on pandas Street East in London. Surviving are his wife and son, his mother Mrs. Colin Lainont Sr. of Kincardine:, sisters and brothers. Among the. latter are Lloyd and George LamOnt of concession 6 West in Huron Township and Gladys, Mrs. ElMer 'W.ylds of •Kincardine.
