He has his Bachelor of Science (honours) in India, M.S. at Guelph, H,SA. Type B and H‘S.A. Type A. He has taught at R,D.S. during, seven of his eight years of teaching. The subjects he teaches are, Science, Mathematics, Chem- istry, Biology. • When asked why he, came to teach at Ripley •he said, "Due to less population, clean air, and away from the big city. • • Mr. Malhotra now lives in Goderich. He is married and has one 'son Kenneth. 1e is a e11 known face in -the halls, of R.D.S. , • EXAMS As exams were fast approaching, students at R.D.S. had their noses in their books, studying very hard. • The exams started on Friday, November 12th and continued through until Wednesday, Novem- ber 17th. Good luck to everyone!!! REMEMBRANCE DAY • SERVICE On Wednesday, November 10th everyorie assembled in the gym. for our annual Remembrance Day service. This year Mrs. Swanton's Dram- • atic Arts Class aided Mrs. Burgess' World Religions Class in' the arrangement of the program. The program started off.with the • singing of "'Last Night I Had. the Strangest Dream" and then there were readings by the two classes. This was followed by two minutes of silence to honour the men that gave up their livesrfor our country, Ann Cluly read- the Prayer 9f St: hancis which. 'was. followed by a closing song,- "If We. Only Have Love". Debbie Stevenson, Sandra Daw- son, Shawn Fidler, Frank Emerson, Chris Guikema and Heather Van. Horne led the student body in the singing of two songs, The pianist was Tom Wilson. Thanks goes to everyone who participated. ELEMENTARY NEWS VOLLEYBALL • Volleyball has started for another season. The boys and girls are busy practicing. Once again the girls 'team is coached' by Mr. Stanley and the boys by. Mr. O'Donohue. R. 1 spent Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Ritchie, and Bryce. - Paul 'Hackett spent the weekend at the home of his aunt, Mr.• and Mrs. Howard Walker of Wingham. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Hackett. and Lori were Sunday supper guests at the Walker home. Paul came home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kirkland had their daughter Nancy, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Folkard of Belgrave and Mr. and Mrs, Jim Hunter on Sunday. On Saturday evening of last week- Mr. and Mrs. Wm. G. Hunter of Lucknow and Mr. and' Mrs. 'Roy Keane and family of Cardiff called at the Kirkland home.
