He showed a film, discussed farm safety aid,gave a short test, Each student received an excellent Farni Safety Colouring Book to take home. On Tuesday, November 9, the 'Remembrance Day Assembly was held in the auditorium. Grades 3 and 4, Room 5 gang "Come and sing a simple song of freedom". Grade 6:, Room 9, chorally read the poem "This Was' My Brother.", Then Grade 5, ROom 10 sang "One Tin Soldier". The observance of playing the Last Post, one minute of silence. and the playing of Reveille were carried out. At this assembly bars not received last June were handed out. The service closed, with the singing of "0 :Canada". On . Wednesday, 'November 10 the tWo GrAde 8 History classes and Grade 6, Room 9 went to Toronto.. In the niorning Grade .6 was at the Museum viewing the special show- ing of "Gold for the Gods" while the Grade 8 classes had a .tour of the parliament buildings and had lunch with Mr. Murray Gaunt ,M. P. P . there. Teachers Accom- panying the group were Mr,. Gary Jewett,, Mrs. M. Anderson, Mrs. D. Graham and Mrs. M. Bere.' Recently, the old Colborne Hotel in 06derich was torn down. Brian Taylor brought to the school some old dishes and many old letters, bills, etc., dating as far back as.1837 which were found there.
