attended the seventh convocation
of the Wilfred Laurier University of
Waterloo on Sunday, October 31st
when Barbara Purdon was among
the 320 graduates of the Bachelor
of Arts General.program. Barbara
majored in Anthropology.
On , Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Joe '
Tiffin and Joan attended the
regular November meeting of
Stratford musicians local 418
annual ladies night smorgasbord
entertainment held at Victorian '
Inn, Stratford. '
Mrs. Orville Tiffin and Joey
visited at Lucknow with Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Snowden and Billie.
Recently Miss Beatrice McQuill-
in accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Purdon to Acton and visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Russel Murray and
family. Mrs. Murray is the former
Marilyn 'McQuillin.

As the news is being written a
snow accumulation of 3 inches has
fallen on the level and more is
falling. Looks as if a spell of winter
has come' to the village.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw of
Windsor spent the weekend' with
Mr.. and Mrs. Walter Elliott and
Mr. and .Mrs. Elroy Laidlavv.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon' Emerson,
Darlene, Sharon and Brenda spent
the weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Emerson. On Saturday
Victor Emerson, Mr. and Mrs.
Eldon Emerson,.Sharon and Bren-
da visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Frank and Miss Bessie McGregor
of Acton.
Mrs. Earl Caslick spent last week
with Mr. and. Mrs. Ronald Coultes
of East WawanOsh. She returned
home on Saturday.
Visitors on Sunday with Mrs.
Ella Johnston of Wingham were
Mr.. and Mrs. Rick Woods of

Black of Clinton.

Man Killed In •
Wingham • Acciilent
"Donald Taylor, R. R. 2 Lucknow,
was in ' collision with a vehicle
driven by. Walter .Brown, R.R, 1
Bluevale, on Highway 86, in front
of the Turnberry Central School on
November 4, about 3.30 p.m. Mr.
Tayior was admitted to hospital
with multiple abrasions and contu-
sions to his face and hands. Mr,
Brown was -killed instantly in they
accident. Mrs. Patricia Brown, • R.
R. 1 Bluevale, was a passenger in
the Brown vehicle. She was
admitted to hospital With multiple
abrasions, cOntusions,, and shock.
Master John, Brown, R. R. ;1
Bluevale, was also a passenger in
the Brown vehicle. He was treated•
for a fractured clavicle, abrasions
and shock and admitted to hospital,.
Robert Fisher, 237 Huntington
Drive, Waterloo, was driver of the
eastbound vehicle which 'collided
with the Brown and Taylor
vehicles. He was admitted • to
hospital with multiple injuries and
later • transferred to Kitchener-
Waterloo Hospital. Investigated by
R. Skelding and J. Dore, Wing-
ham.
Douglas Wallace, R. R, -2
Wingham, lost control of his
vehicle November 4 and struck a
bridge at . Howson's dim in
Wingham. He was admitted to
hospital with multiple abrasions
and lacerations to his face.
Arthur Fischer, R. R. 2 Wing-
ham, was driver 'of a truck which
was struck on the driver's side by a
gravel truck, north of Glammii on
the road to Douglas Point on
November 5. He was treated for an
abrasion below his knee and
released. Investigated by Con-
stable Jeffrey, Kincardine U.P.P.
Robert B. Aitchison, R. R. 1
Lucknow, was driver of a car which
went out of control on the main
street in Wroxeter November 6.
He was treated for a laceration on
the palm of his hand and an
abrasion on his forehead, and
released. Richard Taylor, R. R. 3
Goderich and Phillip Jerome, R. R.
3 Lucknow, were passengers in the
Aitchison vehicle. Both were
treated and released from hospital
with minor injuries. Miss Marjorie
Pellet, Wroxeter and Miss Rose-
mary pellet, Wroxeter, were also
passengers in the ;,vehicle. Marjorie
Pellet admitted to hospital with
a laceration and multiple abra-
sions. Rosemary Pellet ' was
Mrs. Walter Elliott and family were
Bradley Campbell and Miss Shirley
Elliott of Wingham.
LANGSIDE
Mr. and Mrs. Simon de Boer
spent Friday night and Saturday
With his mother Mrs. Roely de Boer
and family. • They 'were returning
from their wedding trip and left
Saturday for Guelph, where they
will reside. •
Mrs. Clifford Young; Langside,
and Mr. and Mrs. John McInnes of
Kinloss visited 'Wednesday after-
noon with Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
Young of Luelitiow.

Young Peoples held an evening of
fun and "games .at Brookside on
Saturday evening followed by
lunch.
Mr. 'and MrS. Bob Bregman,
Joanne and Christine, motored to
London on Friday and reported five -
inches of snow between 'Exeter and
London.
Mr. and Mrs1 Potter and family
moved into the Bridle house
opposite Mr.. and Mrs. Dave
,Moffats an Saturday. ,'We welcome
them to this community.
At Langside Church on. Sunday
Mr. Bev Kay, student minister,
had as his topic for the sermon
"Life is Sacred", which represent-
edboth Remembrance Day and the
sixth' commandment "Thou Shalt
Not Kill". A minute of silence was'
observed followed by the singing of

Mrs. Robena Stewart of Tees-
water, spent Sunday with Mrs.
Roely de Boer and family.

admitted to hospital with multiple
facial injuries. Investigated by J.
S. Jessip, Wingham O.P.P.
Deborah Taylor, R. R.'1 Belgrave
was struck by a car driven' by Gary
B. Richmond, R. R. 2 Blyth, while.
Crossing the road in front of 'her
home. She was admitted to
hospital with a scalp' laceration and
an injured right leg. Investigated
by J. S. Dore, Wingham.
Angus Griffith, R. R. 4 Kincard-
ine was driver of a car which
entered the ditch November 8th pn
Bruce County Road 1, approxi-
mately 1/2 mile from Lucknpw- He
was admitted to Hospital with a
laceration below his ,ear and back
injuries. Investigated by Constable
ckson, Kincardine O.P.P.
