A 31-year-old Newmarket , man
-died Sunday, October 31 in Univcr-.
sity Hospital, LcindOn, of injuries
received early Saturday morning 'in.
a single-car crash near Lucknow.
Paul Conrad Wadsworth of 477
Lloyd Avenue, Newmarket, was the
lone occupant of • a car which went
out of control, ran into a ditch,
struck a tree andburst into flames.
The mishap occurred about 3.50
a.m. about 'three miles west of
.1.ucknow on Highway 86.
Mr.' Wadsworth was removed to
the Wingham and District Hospital
via ambulance and later transfer-
red to the London Hospital. The
accident was investigated by, the
Kincardine detachment of the
Ontario Provincial Police.
Paul Wadsorth was the husband
of the former Susan Williams of
Wingham; son of Thomas and
Pauline Wadsworth; brother' of.
Michael and family, Garth and
family and Maureen Wadsworth.
He is also survived by Maybelle
and Mary Smith and the MacDon-
ald family. He was a retired (1970)
Sergeant with the United States
Army Paratroopers; a veteran Hof
the Vietnam Campaign; a member '
of the United States Legion,
Buffalo Chapter; and the Royal
Canadian Legion, Branch 183,
Kincardine.
-, The late Raul Conrad Wadsworth
rested, at the Hallowell. Funeral
Home, Toronto, 'until Wednesday
morning when removal was made
to St. Basil's Church for mass at 10
o'clock. Following the service, he
was returned to the place of his
birth, Kincardine, where graveside
and committal service took place in
the cemetery there at approximate-
ly four o'clock.
Retires From Job
After 38 Years,
Live In Florida
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Andrew of
Kapuskasing left Friday for Florida
where they will spend five months
at Indian Rocks Beach, near
Clearwater. -
Art recently retired from the
Kimberley Clark paper mill at
Kapuskasing where he was em-
• ployed for about 38 years.
Art underwent surgery in Toron-
to General Hospital on October 21
where he spent about 12 days.
After leaving hospital Art and Mrs.
Andrew spent a few •days in
Lucknow with family inembers.
Honoured On
90th Birthday
Mrs. George Jardine, Lucknow,
entertained the neighbour ladies at
a dinner party last Thursday
evening. The occasion was to
honour the approaching 90th
birthday of Mrs. Cyril -Campbell.
The evening was spent offering
good wishes, visiting and playing
games, which brought to a close a
very enjoyable evening.

The annual "At Home" of the.
Kairshea • WoMen's Institute was
held Saturday, November &ILO 7
p.m. This is a family night and
some • 7Q members , with ' their
families, 4-H members and their
mothers enjoyed a smorgasbord
pot luck supper. •
After dishes and food were
cleared by several ladies Mrs. Cliff .
Roulston was chairlidy for t the
following program. Several num-
bers were given by the orchestra,
namely Mrs. Jack Needham,
pianist; Lloyd• MacDougall, banjo;
Ira Dickie' and Harold Campbell,
violins; everyone joined in a sing
song led by Mrs. Leonard Clarke
and Mrs. Jack Needham at the
piano; a duet by the Clarke sisters,
Laurie and Bonnie, with Bonnie
playing the accompaniment on the
guitar; a duet by Leonard Clarke
and daughter Bonnie;• trio number'
by the 3-H's, Heather MaeDougall,
Helen and Heather Maclntyre; a
number from the junior choir of
South Kinloss church; a mouth
organ selection by Harry Lavis with
Mrs. Needham acconipaniment on
the piano: A contest, TV, "It's
Your Choice", panel of 3 • women
and 3 .men, was very interesting
and• amusing.
The highlight of the evening was
the draw for a • quilt, made by the
ladies of the Institute. Draw • was
made by Mrs. Florence. 'Clift of
Melfort, Saskatchewan, a cousin of
Mrs. Frank MacKenzie and the
winner. was Miss Isa A

The office of Crawford. Douglas,
M.P. (Bruce-Grey) has been in-
formed by the office of the Minister
of Manpower and Immigration that
the following Local Initiative Pro-
ject applications have been granted
for the Riding.
There, were many applications'
this. year. However, 'worthy as
many of the applications were,
there was only $124,000.00 allotted
for the Bruce-Grey, area this year,
and thus the choices to be made by
the Minister and his Department
were most difficult.
The following will be receiving
funding throughthe Local Initiativ-
es Program (L.I.P.).
