Dungannon Fair

Seven members of Dungannon
Agricultural Society attended Dist-
rict 8 annual meeting, and banquet
in ,Clinton on 'Wednesday evening.
The. Agricultural Society held its
regular monthly meeting on Thurs-
day evening in the Agricultural
Flail. Mrs. Joanne Sproul gave a
report on the meeting at, Kings-
bridge school with teachers from
Kingsbridge and Brookside to get
ideas to revamp the prize list for
school exhibits. •A banquet and
awards ,night for local 4-H mem-
bers, their parents and sponsors is
to be held in the Hall on November. 13,

job as M.C. at Dungannon Fair. A

Saturday morning.
He was removed to Wingham
Hospital in critical condition, later
being transferred to London where
he died on Sunday.

alone in his car on Highway 86, and
at a point about three miles west, of.
Lucknow, opposite the farm of
Grant Farrish, the car left the.road,
'rolled over and struck a tree
broadside, buriting into flames. ,

from Rod and Wilhelmina McKay

known' as a member of local ball
and hockey teams,, Jim .has been 4
member of the office staff at
Stanley Door Systems Limited for
nearly 20 years.. ' , -
Mrs. Bain, a registered nurse,
has been a staff, member at the
rn Wingha Medical Centre for
several yearS, working with Drs.
Ping and Wilkins, and latterly with
Dr. Mowbray.

Perfeet weather prevailed for

ed the car fire. It was not
immediately known if anyone else

volunteerS, indicated Mr. Wads-
worth had been alone..
Mr. Wadsworth was a native of
Kincardine.
Grant Received
For Ball Diamond
Ashfield and West Wawanosh.
Recreation Committee have receiv-
ed a 'Wintario grant of $2500. for
the' construction: of a new ball
diamond, bleachers, • lighting and
fencing at Dungannon. , ' -
The grant is, on condition that the
amount be'matched, dollar for •
dollar, at the loca l level.

Lucknow Town' Hall on Monday
evening.

various areas of local government,
which was interspersed' with ques-
tions from those, in attendance.
