`home'. Since we have moved to
Kitimat, I find the.paper is here the

been. It was great to see so many
of thy friends in August, although
the time was short, and to see how
many .changes had been made in

Hold "Over 80"
Birthday Party
. Fun and games was the' Order of
the day as the Happy Hearts Club
of Ripley held their annual "Over
80" birthday party at the Ripley
Legion I-tall on Friday, October 22.
Prizes, balloons and party hats
were provided. Beautiful .corsages
and buttonnietes, made by Mrs.
Clara Shiells, Mrs. Muriel McAul-
ey and Mrs. Norma McLennan,
was presented to ealh guest by
Mrs. Gladys Arnold/ and Mrs.
Florence Liddle.
A • sing 'song, led by the lively
master of ceremonies, Reg Moore,
accompanied by Mrs. Violet Mac-
Kenzie at the piano, began the.
festivities.
The president, Mrs. Gladys
Arnold,. expressed a warm welcome
to the members. Mrs. Frances
Gullies recited an Irish story'
followed by violin selections by
Frank Scott, humorous reading and
reminiscences of the past. by James
Kirkpatrick. "The Dark Town
Strutters Bail" was sung and
danced to by Mrs. Peggy Chappell.
Earl Lohnes read a poem "Age"'
which was in keeping with the
gathering. Mrs. Mytme Wyld
presented a-Bible Quiz. A "Stop
the Music' game, With the forfeit
being tell a special event in their
life, resulted in fun and humour for
all. The program concluded with a
game "Purse Catchers"
