of Goderich, fOrmer, residents of
the George Saunders farm in Ash-
' field, 'relate an oddity which occu'rr-

A goose layed and set on 11, eggs,

,a heat lamp. The goslings did very
well for ,themselves and they were
picked and frozen sometime in
March at' *0 to 11 lbs, This is a
sequel to the goose story 'of last
week, and coming from the
typewriter of a guy who doesn't
know one end of a goose from the
other, it is hoped that the
information is presented in the
intended way.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gibson. of
Dicknow have purchased a home in
Goderich on Brock Street and will
move about the month's end. Mr.
and Mrs. Gibson have resided in
Lucknow for a number of years,
and for the past six years have lived
,on Willoughby Street, in half of the
Stanley-Tollefson home,,the former
Murdie residence of many years
ago.

Mr.and Mrs. Edgar Musselman,
Kincardine, have the pleasure of

Lucknow arena at 8.30 p.m. next
Monday. Scheduling of ice time
will 'be made. Hockey registration
is up considerably from last year in
Lucknow Minor ranks and there is

Two repreientatives from the
Ministry of the. Environment 'at-
tended Lucknow Council meeting
on Tuesday of last week to discuss
various aspects of town btisiness
which come under their control
including dunip sites and a
pollution • survey of the Village
which they are in the process of
completing and which will be
presented in a report to council.
Most of the survey has been
completed on rivers, drains, etc, in
the village and the findings are
being 'analyzed. In other council
business, prices submitted for a
heat .houser for the tractor were
defeired • until the products in
question are more-fully examined.
The village assessment of $1400
approximately ' the Maitland
Valley Conservation Authority was
again filed, Lucknow still having
not made the payment. Firemen
will again police the village 'On
Hallowe'en.
