Council met for tie regular October
meeting on Tuesday evening,
October 5 at • the Public Works
garage. All members attended and

The minutes of the September
meeting and a special session held

adopted on , motion of. Councillors
Hickey and Stothers. Clayton

informing Xouncil that the Com-
pany .would be installing under-'
ground cable on many/ township
, roads in the near future, and
soliciting the co-operation of the
road superintendent.
By-law #11, 1976 was given third
reading and finally passed on
motion of Councillors. Foran and
Hickey. This by-law imposes a
special , rate on two properties in the
township to covet tile drainage
loans.
A motion by CoUncillors Hickey
and. Cranston authctrized the Road
Superintendent to apply for the •
Interim Subsidy on road expendi-
tures• incurred thus far in 1976.

by-law .#4, 1976,° was given third

The road accounts were ordered

meeting at Kinloss United Church.
Mr. -D. Mulligan was the guest
speaker and took for his topic
"Communications".
Relatives from here attended the
funera of their cousin, the late Ira
Wall, at Wingham on Thursday
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Levi Eckenswiller
of London visited with Mr. and
Mrs. George Graham and Mr. and
Mrs. Arthur Graham and other
relatives. • .
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Page of
Burlington visited with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Page.
Mrs. Arthur Haldenby entertain-
ed A.C.W. ladies at her home on
Monday at a quilting.
The Holyrood Women's Institute
