On Wednesday, September 15, we
enjoyed a delicious barbecue made
by the ' Level V and the Student
•Council: The barbecue was
followed by speeches from the
candidates. On Thursday everyone
voted. After a close race the new
executive for 76-77 was picked.
The president is , Heather Boyle,
vice president Cheryl- McGarvey,
Secretary Ann Cluley, and treasur-
er Chris McGarvey. Class repres-
. entatives were also chosen. They •
are: Level 5, Norma Jean Crozier
and Sandy Liddle; Level 4, Wendy
Hamilton and Kevin Ferguson;
Level 3A, Jane Messenger and
Robert Elliott; Level 3B, Denise
Huber and Glenn Grubb; Level 2,
Karen McGarvey and Brian Hus-
ton; Level 1, Susan Reeves and Jeff

NEWS
Monday was registration night at-.
C.G.I.T. The' three dollars from
each member, goes to the Ontario.
C.G.LT. committee for" its work of
helping our groups,
Irene Reitknecht and Kim Hald-
enby led the sing song. President
Barbara Loree led in the purpose
and hymn. Barbara Maize, a new
member was welcomed. Secretary
and treasurer reports were given
and the offering was received.
It was decided' to continue
supporting our foster child, Marl-'
eny Millones in Peru. The group
are invited to visit the United'
Church tent at the Plowing Match.
Ideas were discussed for celebrat-
ing C.G.I.T. Week, October, 16-22.
Irene Reitknecht agreed to play
the piano for a few weeks and
Brenda Arnold will look after the
scrapbook. Shirley Loree, Debra
Arnold, Mary Lynn Cayley and
'retie Reitknecht were chosen as
group representatives. Two games
were led by Barbara Loree apd
Sandra Henderson.
In grodps, the girls started a
Fold-Out Study made especially for
C.G.I.T. Discover Me, Discover
You, and Discover Others are
topics to be discussed. All joined in

The members of the executive
for .the Music Society were chosen
last week. The president' is Laitrie
Coiling; directors are Priscilla'
Zipfel and Ken 'MacKay; secretary
is Shelley Hackett. The class reps

Jane Ann Coiling; Level 3a, Debbie

Our annual commencement exer-
cises will be held on Friday,
October 22. We are looking
forward to the return of the Level '4

Driver Education classes vvill
commence on September 29. The
teacher for this year is Mr. Turvill.
There are about 20 students
involved in it this year.
FAIR ,
Once ,,again everyone was busy
working on their floatS for the fair. ,
Friday afternoon was spent in
decorating. We were pleased to
see so'ipany at the fair.
CHEERLEADERS
The enthusiastic girls in the gold
and black outfits that-you will see
cheerleading , at' our interschool
sports are our new cheerleaders for
this year. Their leader is Marilyn
Stewart and the squad 'consists of
Gail , MacDonald,' Donna Huber,
Susan Thompson and Heather
Boyle. Their enthusiastic coach is
Mrs. Barbara Burgess. Good luck
to our new cheerleaders.

Peterts Anglican ,. Parish Hall,
licknow,• with• 74 in attendance.
Registration and renewing of
acquaintances was' followed by a ,
program with Roy McQuillin as
master of ceremonies. ' ,
Name's of births since the last
reunion were Jamie, son of Mr. and
'Mrs. Sandy •McQuillin, Stratford,
and Sara Lynn, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Gary McQuillin, St.
Catharines.
Names of deaths since the last
reunion were Mrs. Irvin McCabe,
(Dorothy McQuillin) Windsor, and
Mrs. Telford Deatop,(Ethel Mc-
Lean) London. A minute of silence
was observed.
A "Show and Tell" period of
pictures and antiques belonging to
the lst.and 2nd generatiOns proved
very interesting. joined in
singing "The More 'We Get
Together". This was followed by a
reading by Mrs. Dynes Campbell.
Musical numbers were given by
Charles McQuillin on the fife;
Colleen Murphy, piano; Albert
McQuillin, vocal and guitar; Sandy
McQuillin, bagpipes;' Albert and
Dick McQuillin, piano and violin.
Prizes were awarded to Mr. and
Mrs. Herb McQuillin for couple
having the most direct descendants
present; Janiie, McQuillin, young-
est child; Lorraine McQuillin, 40th
person to register; Mr. and Mrs.
Jim McQuillin, couple most recent-
ly married; Mr. ' and Mrs. Herb
McQuillin; most wedding anniver-
saries; Sandy IVIcQuillin, adult with
birthday closest to reunion date;
Jamie McQuillin, child with birth-
day cloiest to reunion date; Shawn
Murphy,, lucky plate; Mike Breuti-
gam, luckY cup.
Grace was sung, after which a
smorgasbord sepper brought an
enjoyable day , to a close. The
committee in charge of the reunion
was Beatrice McQuillin and Mrs.
Fred McQUillin. Appointed to this
position for next year are Mrs.' Don
Nickel, Mrs. Doug McLeod and
Mrs. Pete Neufeld. •

day' Each day at noon either 2
girls's games or 2 boys' games are
played, Scores are kept and
winners receive crests at the end of
the year.
Boys' teams are Chargers (Peter
Kohnert, C.), Pirates (Simon
Forster, C.)„Dukes (Brian Elphick,
C.), Stampeders (Alan Rivett, C.),
Jets (Doug Kuik, C.) and Strikers
(Ed Davidson, C.).
Girls' teams are Kick-Offs (Doro-
thy Martin, C.), Dribblers (Juanita
Fielder, C.), Raiders (Kay Morri-
son, C:), Streakers (Janet Godfrey,
C.), Bombers (Teresa Taylor, C.).
A Brookside float, along with,
over, 200 students, took part in the
parade at Dungannon Fair on
Friday, September 24. Congratu-
lations to those students who won
prizes in their respective classes of
School Work, Pets and 4-H.
BrOokside won first place for
their float at the Lucknovv Fair.
Many of the students also won
prizes in classes within the' hall.
Mrs. Graham and her Grade 6
class from Room 9 are planning a
Science excursion to the West
Wawanosh Conservation area on
MOnday, September 27, weather
