Queen's University, Kingston.
There were also tours of important
buildings and sights of Kingston.
25th ANNIVERSARY

Saturday, September 18. Theo and
Tina are .holidaying in Holland and
a 25th anniversary party with their
family was the highlight of their
vacation. They plan to return home

The Kingsbridge Catholic Wom-
en's League held birthday celebra-
• tiOns in the , Kingsbridge Parish
Hall on Thursday afternoon, Sept-
ember .16 in honour of Father Ed
Dentinger and Mr. and' Mrs., Jack
Van Osch's birthdays, and for Rita
Howard as her birthday fell on that
day. Games .of euchre were played
-and a sing song held with Mrs.
Walter Clare at the piano.
Birthday cake , and ice cream was
served and a social, hour followed.

Mrs. Tina Logtenburg on Thursday
afternoon,. SepteMber 16. Demon-
strator was Gertie Fritzley of R. R.
2 .Goderich.
Eddie and Sheila Sinnett return-
ed to their home here on Thursday,
September.16 following 11 days on:
the boat "The Paul H. Townsend"
They enjoyed return cruises from
Alpena,. Michigan to Oswego, New
York, to Clarkston, Ontario and to
Cleveland, Ohio. Their father, Jim •
Sinnett is the Chief Engineer on the
boat.
Several from this area attended
the Open House, tea and very
delightful program held at the
Pinecrest Nursing Home in Luck-
now on Sunday afternoon, Septem-
ber 19 and enjoyed best , of all 'the
visit with the patients. there.

VISITS- IRELAND
Mrs. Bob Howard returned to
her home here on Thursday,
September 16 after spending three._
weeks vacation visiting with her
family and friends in Ireland.

Mrs. Brenda Cook held a "Close
Friend and Relative' Shower" for
Diane Vassella, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Vassella, at her
home on Saturday evening, Sept-
ember 18. Mrs.' Marian MacLen-
nan waslhe master of ceremonies
for a short program. Lunch was
served by the hostess. A communi-
ty shower is being planned for Dia-
ne to be held in St. Joseph's Parish
Hall, Kingsbridge on Friday,
September 24 at , 8.30 p..m.
Donations for, the shower, may be
left at Lanes, Amberley and Kintail
Stores. Diane's marriage to Paul
Anthony Wisser, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Anthony Wisser of Goderich,
take place on Saturday,
October 2 in St. Joseph's Church,
Kingsbridge.
Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Maize and
family from Unionville, Miss Diane
Vassella• and friend Paul Wisser of
-Scarborough spent the weekend at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred.

DeBaker (Lucille Sutter) of War-
ren, Michigan spent the weekend
with the, former's brother; Mr. and

Plans are being made for the
annual Pro Life dinner meeting to
be held in the form of a pot luck
dinner' at the St. Joseph's Parish
Hall in Kingsbridge. on Monday
evening, October 18 at 7 p.m. The
guest speaker will be Doctor. Reg.

A stag for Steven Wylds, son •of
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Wylds, was
held at Foran's on Saturday
evening, September 18. Steven's
marriage to Brenda Moran, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Moran,
will take place on Saturday,
September 25 at 4 p.m. in the
Ashfield Presbyterian Church.
Miss Anne VanDiepenbeek,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
VanDiepenbeek, is teaching
French and Home Economics at the
Kincardine High School. She had
taught previously in St. Mary's,
Ontario.
