A special*” congregational meet- ing will be held Friday evening, September 3 at 8.30 at the church to decide what course the congre- gation wish to follow with respect to ministerial services following the completion of Mr. Kay's term of appointment' next summer. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Black returned on Satprday evening, from a two weeks', holiday in Vancouver, visiting with their son's, Dave and Visiting on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs: Ray Hamilton and family and with Mr. and Mrs. Jack McGuire and 'family were Mr. and Mrs. David King and 'Pam of Goderich. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bennett and family of Burlington returned home on Sunday evening after spending the past three weeks at their summer home here. Fractured Hip In Fall • WHITECHURCH NEWS • • This community was shocked to recently learn that Carman Farrier of Long Branch had the misfortune to fall while doing caretaking duties, at the church, which resulted in a broken hip and other injuries. Bernard and baby Jeab, all of Thorndale; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mullis and Adam of Ingersoll; Mr. and Mrs. Neil Faw, Steven, Susie, Joan ,and Laura, Thorndale; Miss Jenna Mullis, London and Ed Hoge, Thamesford. Steven Faw remained for a holiday on the farm. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tiffin were Sunday afternoon callers at the same home. Mr- and Mrs. Fred Davis and Dana. of Windsor are visiting with her mother, Mrs. Garnet. Farrier. Mr. and Mrs. Al IngliS, Robert and Albert of Ottawa, holidaying in the area, spent Sunday evening and Monday with Mr. and Mrs: Bev Kay, Wendy and Graham. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hunter and Trevor of London visited Wednes- day to Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Conn. While here they attended the funeral, of his uncle, the late Jas. Curran. Mrs. Earl Caslick was .a weekend visitbr with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Taylor and while there 'celebrated baby Trisa's first birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Ross; granclpar: ents,, also helped celebrate.
