Monday's rush of copy and
advertising at The Sentinel, after
two weeks vacation, was more than
we could handle and a few items
will have to be: held over until next
week.
THAT
Latest tid bit in the rumour mill
of the Sepoy Town is that the
Sentinel publisher won $10,000' in a
lottery. We once won a fruit' cake
in a draw at Christmas time at Cyril
Brown's store. Another time we
won a glass turkey at a local service
club event which our neighbour
delivered through the back yard, in
a milk pail, one Sunday morning.
.But $10,000 ih a lottery is still a
dream for us, like most others..
THAT
- Despite the efforts of horticultur-
ists in town, their effori/is seem to
fall prey to vandals. Latest episode
of flower pulling was at' Lucknow
post office, on two occasions.
