the past six'weeks in Lucknow and
area: with relatives while Jim was
with the air borne unit in Montreal
seilving as guards at the Olympics,. Mrs. N. J.,MacKenzie, Lucknow,
is no* hoMe from Wingham and.
Dis.tifict Hospital, where she was a .
patient for a week. s Her daughter,
Mrs. Rae Myers of Ottawa, who
has been with her •for . the past
week, "returned home Tuesday.
Mrs. Gordon Barger Sr. of
Lucknow, her. son Bill and Anna of
Hanover and Roseline Barger of
Lucknow. visitedl the former's son
Rick and daughter-in-law Margaret
in Regina for two weeks and alio
visited in IvIrithoba, Banff and /
Alberta. On their ay home
through Northern Ontario they
went through Algonquin Park and
down through Eastern Ontario and
visited a friend in Roseneath,
Ontario.
Suzanne Kirkland, Lori McKim,
Brenda MacLeod, Malian Raynard
and Susan Thompson attended
Division Girl Guide Camp at Camp
Keewaydin which is situated at the
foot of the 12th of Ashfield. Edith
Greer and Lorna Boyle attended
the same camp as Junior Leaders.
All girls are members of the 1st
Lucknow Girl Guide Company.
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Richards of
Frankfurt were weekend visitors in
Lucknow with his father Orland

returned from a 3 1/2 weeks • tour
through Western Canada to Van-
couver, travelling by traiwand bus.

Webster, where Lloyd operates-a -
large ranch; with Jack and Irene
Webster and family, Bruce Web-
ster, Allan and Sylvia Webster and
family of Stettler;'with /Nancy and
Keith Gardner and family of
Okotoks and Bill Gardner of
Calgary; Joan and Jack Tronte and
boys of Okotoks; at Cochrane,
Alberta, with Mrs. Isobelle Hawk=
wood and daughter Betty, Mr. and .
Mrs. Sam Challic (nee Margaret,
Hawkwood) and sons and Mr. and
Mrs. Tom Hawkwood and Baugh-.
ter. They travelled through the
Rocky Mountains westward via
Banff, through, to the Okanogan
Valley in B.C. with their vast
orchards and trout filled waters,
• spending a few days at the summer
resort city. of Penticton on Skaka
Lake and Okanogan Lake. They
returned through the mountains by
Jasper to. Edmonton for departure.
The crops in. Western Canada are
excellent except for a few areas
experiencing ° drought, near Coch-
rane,
