She was born in Ashfield TOWnship on September 5th, 1899, • a daughter of William John Irwin and Amelia Henry. • Lila, a victim of arthritis for forty years, spent the past twenty-two' years in nursing homes. She first mitered the ' nursing home in Lticknow shortly after it was established by Ed Baker, later owned by Harold Greer and then by George Newbold. Two years ago, April 1974, Lila' was one of the first residents to be settled in her new home at the new Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home on Bob Street. , The late Miss Irwin is survived by one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Glen (Winnifred) Campbell of Ashfield Township, Frank... f West Wawaposh and Jack of Goderich: She was predeceased by her father in 1908, her mother in 1942;' two brothers, Roy in 1976, HarrY in 1975 and two infant brothers. The funeral' service was held at MacKenzie • Memorial Chapel, Lucknow on Saturday, August 7th. Grant Gollan 'of LucknoW was minister. They left Friday for Ottawa where Ewart was a contestant in a lawn bowling tournament for senior' citizens.
