• Mr. and Mrs.. Jim Duncan dosed
their Lucknow restaurant and pool
room busisness and returned to
their farm at Newry, near Atwood.
Lucknow Public School staff
honoured Mrs. Roy, Havens upon
her retirement from teaching.
The Graham property adjoining
the Supertest Garage was purchas-
ed by Supertest:
The Huron County trio of Bert
Pepper, Barry McQuillin,and David
Kirkland won the judging competi-
tion at the Michigan State Short-
horn Breeders' Field Day.
WINOHAM ONTARIO
About 35 neighbours assisted
Kelso MacNay at Paramount with a
barn raising. The old. barn had
been' torn down.
In a desperate/ effort to salvage
some hay, much of which was
deteriorating and rotting, many
district farmers were haying on
Sunday in mid July.

Wield Park
On "Saturday,' July 17th, the
descendants of Neil. Ban, MacKen-
zie anfl Mary MacRae, gathered at
Ashfield Park, for their 15th
reunion.
It was 'a beautiful day and after
the registering and happy, greet-
ings were over,' most everyone
f anticipated in the fun an ines',„
or the young and • young,
under the direction of Ross
MacKenzie, ably assisted by Gayle
MacKenzie :and Bill Barrett, in
declaring winners and the distribu-
tion of prizes.
Prior to the wonderful smorgas-
bord dinner, which was' thoroughly
enjoyed by all, grace was ,sung by
the entire clan. A short. business
meeting followed, led by president
and secretary, Jack and Bertha .
MacKenzie. Minutes of the last
meeting were read and accepted
and new business discussed. •
was agreed that the reunion date
for '1977 would be July 16th. Lew
and Arlene LaBonte were elected to
serve as president and secretary,
respectively, for the next year.
Jack and Bertha 'MaCKenzie were
given a big vote of thanks for their
work and untiring effOrts, as
retiring officers.
A minute of silence was observed
in ' memory of Mrs. John (Mary
MacKenzie) Kemler of Rochester,
Michigan.
Among the honoured_ guests_
were Mr. and Mrs'. Eugene Martin,
Mrs. Isabel MacKenzie and Mrs.
Violet . MacKenzie. The youngest
member present was Mary Ellen;
daughter of 'Mr. and Mrs. Jim • MacKenzie. ,
Those in attendance frop the
most distant points were Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Kemler, Miss Jean
Kemler, Mrs. Ruth Hill and son
Scott, all of Rochester, 'Michigan
and Mr. and Mrs. Lew LaBonte,
Detroit, Michigan.
Mrs. Isabel MacKenzie drew , the
lucky ticket, for the drawing on the
lovely linen towel, with the
beautiful 'verse. of, Amazing Grace
and picture of a, Royal Scot playing
the pipes, as the theme. Arlene.'
LaBonte was, the lucky winner...
Jean Keinler won the note paper,
with the° picture of , a Scotsman,
when the picture was. found stuck
to the underside of the 'bench,
where she was seated.
After the meeting closed with the
singing of the MacKenzie. Ode and
the hopes of all to meet again next
year, movies were shown of past
reunions, dating back to 1964,
which brought back memories and
were enjoyed by everyone.
