tractor for a joy ride and stealing a
small amount of money.

Returned Sunday
From West Africa
Brenda and Nick Barclay return-
ed home Sunday from,Gbana, West
Africa, where they have spent the
past year.
Brenda is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Ritchie of
Kinloss Township. Nick's hothe is
in Toronto.
They went to. Ghana under the
CUSO program, Canadian Univer-
sity Services Overseas, where
Brenda taught Home Science and
Nick taught Agricultural Science.
They returned to Canada on
Tuesday of last week and to the
home of her parents in Kinloss On
Sunday.
Brenda and Nick are- both
gradttateS of Centralia College,
Huron Park..
Alma 'E. Gingerieh,. '16, died
tragically on Wednesday afternoon
of last week when ,kload of hay she
,was driving shifted, throwing her
off and pinning her beneath a
wheel.,
Alma is . the 'daughter of Eli and
Lizzie Gingerich of the 10th of East
Wawanosh, just east of the division
line, four miles eastof St. Helens.
Her parents operate the former
Lloyd ,Whytock farm there.
Alma, who was within a couple of
Herman Lanting has sold, his
bake shop in Lucknow to Henk Den
Boer. of .London. The transaction
becomes effective August 3rd and
includes the business and building.
The new owner is married with
twos..tnall children and has been
manager of a' Loblaws Bakery in
London.
Herman Lanting has been , a
baker since age 15, almost 45
years. He learned the trade in his
native Holland. Mr. and Mrs.
Lanting came to Canada in 1950.

Mrs: William Wareing of; Hamii

ship, passed away at Henderson
General Hospital on Sunday, July
25th. 25th. She was 58.
The funeral service will 'be held
at MacKenzie Memorial Chapel,
Lucknow on Wednesday, July 28th
at 2 p.m.
Interment will be in . Greenhill
Cemetery.
