Rintoul • were accompanied to the Anderson family reunion at Fergus by Carol and•Debbie Rintoul, who met their parents Mr. and • Mrs. Leroy Rintoul there and .returned hOme with them . Their parents, are enjoying a week's holiday at' their bosses cottage in the vicinity of Barrie and the girls wished to also attend. Congratulations to Miss Lori Purdon who last week; July 6 - 9, was chosen to attend from White- church 4-H Club the 4-H Home- making Conference with theme Horizons at Guelph University. The Conference is to assist girls to share ideas, gain experience in 4-H work by/ exhibits, demonstrations joining in group work and listening ONE soiromtg I P.M. Arthur -Wilkinson of Pembroke, brother of Mrs. Clifford Laidlaw, spent' the weekend with she and Mr. Laidlaw. Mrs. Agnes Farrier visited Sunday with Mts. Barbour of Hillsburg. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Milligan, Mary Lou and Clara, Mr.. and Mrs. Alan Falconer, Tony and Timmie were Sunday visitors with his sister, Mrs.. Elgin Crozier and Mr. Crozier of Niagara Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moss of Plattsville were Tuesday visitors with her Ben Mcelenaghan and brother Carl and Mrs. McClenaghan. • Miss Beatrice McClenaghan, Home Economist of Newmarket, spent the weekend with Miss Mildred McClenaghan. The Wingham Pee Wee team of which Joey Tiffin and Richard Moore are .players on Friday evening played Listowel team and were winners. On Saturday they played Seaforth team and were again winners. WEDDING • RECEPTION On Friday evening a wedding reception was held in Whitechurch Community Memorial Hall for Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ross (nee Kaye Wilken). A large crowd gathered in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Ross and to 'enjoy dancing to Joe Tiffin's Orchestra music. At lunch time the newly weds were given seats of honour on the platform while:Jim de Boer spoke words Of apprecia- tiori. Murray .Simpson presented them with 'a gi of money on behalf of the audience. . Mr, and Mrs. Ross both replied thanking the sponsors for putting on the party, to all those attending, for the gift presented. All sang For They are Jolly, Good Fellows. Dancing was then resumed to the closing hour. We are pleased to report that Dalton Schultz was released from Wingham Hospital on Tuesday. Mrs. 'John de Boer, Mrs. Wallace Conn, Mrs: Earl Caslick, Mrs. Bill 'Evans and Mrs. Victor •Emerson attended Lucknow W.M.S. meeting on, Wednesday where Rev. Wilena Brown was guest speaker. • Mr. and 'Mrs. Russel Proctor of Livonia, Michigan visited a few flays this week with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tiffin, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson and Mrs. Charles Tiffin of Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Emerson, Darlene, Sharon and Brenda of St. Catharines spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson and attended the wedding reception on Friday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ross. Currie on Saturday in honour of her daughter PAGE NsNO • Died In Hamilton. Friends in the Lucknow commun- ity were saddened to. learn of the passing of Mrs. Wm. Tully, • the former Pansy Orth, on'Friday, July 9th at the Beacon. Hill. Nursing Home, Hamilton. • She was in her 77th year and was born ,in Rodney, Ontario on December 8th, 1898. ', Mrs. Tully is ' survived' two step-sons, Bob Tully of Hamilton and Torn Tully of Scotland; one brother Frank and one sister Vera in Hamilton.; nieces and 'nephews. She was Predeceased by her first husband George Hunter, a daugh- ter Mildred Hunter and her second husband William Tully. The funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 12th at Robertson's Funeral Home, King Street, Hamilton. Interment was in Woodland Cemetery. •- Pallbearers were Terry Orth, Roy Orth, Fred Darrow, Jack Haygarth, Arthur Haygarth and Lane Gard- ner. Attending the 'funeral from Lucknow area were nieces and nephews, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon. Lyons, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Menary, Lane Gardner and Mrs. Mac Scott of Belgrave. Cove. On Friday her son, 'Jim Johnston and Mrs. Johnston, called and took her to their trailer -at-Lakelet, where she remained till Sunday.
