Noble Johnston of Lucknow has returned home from University Hospital, London where he was a patient for 'two' yeeks. Mrs. Louise Anderson of Toronto visited with Ada Webster of Lucknow this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Raynard and Kathy of Aylmer, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Morgan of Toronto and •-Doug-Morgan-of--Harr-iston_visited. with Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Raynard in Lucknovv on Sunday.. Kathy Raynard remained to spend the week with her grandparents. Mrs. Eileen Nesbitt and Mrs. Chester Emmerton visited Mrs. Annie Nesbitt, Lucknow, to ,cele- brate her birthday • (Monday). A lovely supper was served outside on • the lawn and pictures were taken. The afternoon was spent visiting. Sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of the late Mrs. Rose Guest, whose funeral was at Kincardine on Friday afternoon. Many years ago the Guest family lived on concession 14. The Rhody families and other friends here attended the Rhody- Keislar wedding at Camp Meneset- ung on Saturday evening. , Mr. and MrS7Matirice Hodgins of London spent the weekend here at' their farm home, concession 10. Glen Haldenby entertained some friends on his twelfth ,birthday. Those attending were Ross Kers- lake, Wayne Murray, David Preiss '.and Eric' Haldenby. They went bowling in Walkerton. • Lea-Anne Haldenby returned home from Kintail Camp on Saturday morning. • . Russell Barr 'and his sons and daughter Darrell and Cynthia of Durban, South Africa are vacation- ing here with his mother Mrs. John Barr and other members of .his family. They came by way of Grande Prairie, Alberta, where they visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Barr and their son Allistaire. On Sunday a family get together was held at the home of Mrs. Jahn Barr. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bart and family, Mr. and Mrs. Morley Bushell and family of Wingham, Donald Barr of Waterloo and Russell Barr and his family. We are sorry to report that Mr. George Haldenby suffered a para-'. lytic seizure early Sunday morning and was taken by ambulance to the Wingham ' and' District Hospital.. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Bradley, Lucknow, attended the' funeral of Douglas Todd in' Orillia on Satur- day. Douglas, age' 31, is survived by his wife, 3 small children, his parents, a sister and two brothers, all in Orillia and his twin brother, David Todd of Hanover, husband of Phyllis Bradley, formerly •of Am- berley. Mrs. Wellington Webster and Cecil returned home Friday even- ing, July 9th from a three week vacation in Saskatchewan and Alberta. On June the 19th they attended the welding Of Ronald Krowchuk and Lorraine Thieser, nephew of Mrs. Webster. They also visited a week in Alberta with Mrs.' Webster's sister and brother- in-law Mr. • and Mrs. Stanley McKay of Edmonton. The foursome spent 3, days , in Jasper Park sightseeing., Mrs. Webster and Cecil- spent - two- weeks Saskatoon and vicinity visiting a sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Michael Krowchuk, niece, nephews and family: • Mrs. Wellington Webster, Jim and Cecil left July 10 for Richfield, Ohio to spend the' weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Atlee Wise and. Patricia. St. Helens Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Miller of London, Mrs. Elizabeth Maulden of Ripley and Mrs. Arthur Phillips of Fonthill were recent visitors of Isobel Miller, Helen Toddand Miss' W. D. Rutherford. Lucknow Fire 'department was called to the farm of Gordon Struthers on Friday afternoon when the hay crop they were burning got out of control. Little damage was done. Mr. and Mrs. Ron. Nicholson were weekend visitors with Mr. , and Mrs. Chester Nicholson. Miss Adrianne Makovskis of Willowdale visited with her 'cousin Christina Todd. Her grandparents, Mr. and, Mrs. Antone Makovskis of Etobicoke, also visited the farm of Wayne Todd. Being city dwellers they enjOyed a tons of the farm. WEDNESDAY, JULY 14, 1976 Mrs. Ken Luttrell, Wendy, John and. Nancy of 'Prince George, Brit- ish Columbia, spent the past week with her aunt, Mrs.' Hazel Purdon. of Lucknow and families. On Saturday Mrs. Luttrell and family met Mr. Luttrell at Toronto Airport and they then visited at Fergus with Mrs. Floyd Bott and family, where a fainily picnic was held on Sunday, • The Luttrell " family returned home to Prince George on Sunday , evening. Mr„ and Mrs. Jack Fisher have . sold their Lucknow home, which is situated on Rose Street East, to Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kloostra' of Kintail. The Kloostras' have three boys and one girl. The Fishers will reside at their cottage at Point Clark. •Mr. and Mrs. Bert. Cocksworth of Ailsa Craig were recent visitors in Lucknow with Susan and Jim McNaughton. Bert was a baker here in the early 1950s. Some residential changes have occurred in Lucknow over the past few weeks and months. Mr.. and Mrs. Jerry Priestap and' family have moved into their new home just south of Lucknow, just to the south of their former residence which has been purchased and is now, occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Pete Grazier and family, who were residing in the Mullin building on Main Street. 2, Mr. and Mri. Bill Bolt and family moved last weekend to their new -home- -Elgin Street, purchased from Gerrie Glenn. They have resided in an apartment over Greer •TV 'and Electric.. Mr. and Mrs. Ian Dougherty of Toronto, Mr. and • Mrs. Don Thompson and family of Lucknow, Mr. and Mrs. Harlow Stonehouse of Toronto, and Mr, and Mrs. Brian. Holloway and family, formerly of Kinloss, have all recently moved into new homes on Delhi: Street, south, of Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home.
