Whitechurch' C.O.C. held their
June meeting on. Sunday, June 27
during church service.' : The call to
worship was given by David Ross.
The scripture was read by Eddie de
Boer. Ross Pickard led in prayer.
The minutes were read by Donald
de Boer. The roll call was
answered by 11 members with a
verse with word "Love". The
birthday calendarwas marked:
/ Plans were made for a picnic to
be held at Teeswater when a date
can be arranged. "The offering was
received by Karen Elliott and
dedicated by Kendra Purdon.
Mrs. Archie Purdon . gave the
Juniors their story. Mrs. Hugh
Simpson gave the Senior Bible
story, a ' chapter from the study
book, "Shepherds .Lost Sheep".

Chalmers Women's Missionary
Society held their June meeting on
Wednesday at the home of Mrs.
John de Boer with an..attehdance of.
14. The call to worship was given
by the leader Mrs. Bill Evans. The
hymn 0 God our help in ages past
was sung.
The scripture was read by Mrs.
Bill Rintoul and she also gave the
meditation. Mrs. Caslick led in
prayer. Mrs. Wesley Tiffin read a
reading of Padre Young's on Right
and Wrong. People want good
things and their .:intentions are the
best but how many find they have
taken the wrong road.
Mrs. Victor Emerson- gave the
topic Right ' or Wrong. Mrs.
Dawson Craig gave a reading sent
out by Mrs. Mary Coulter, Eternal•
Verities on the subject of flowers.
Many beautiful flowers are trodden
underfoot. Just so . in life many
times what should be precious has
been trodden underfoot: • The
eternal .verities, faith, hope and
love left us above all and save us
from being engulfed in what is
material and changeful. Mrs.
Wallace Conn' 'gave a . reading
Needle & Thread. All sang the
hymn For the beauty of the earth.
Mrs. John. de Boer, president,,
presided and thanked all for
attending and opened the business
with a Father's Day reading. Mrs.
Gordon Rintoul, secretary, read the
correspondence. An invitation was
received from Lucknow to attend
their meeting on July 7 at 2.30 and
be responsible for a number. ,The
invitation was accepted. Arrange-
ments were made for serving lunch
to Bruce Maitland Presbyterial on
Tuesday evening, June 22nd at
Chalmers, Whitechurch. The next
W.M.S. meeting will be held at the'
home of Mrs.. Wallace Conn.
The roll call was answered by
giving a Bible verse where mention
is made of a bird e.g. .eagle,
bittern,, hawk, dove, lapwing,
ospray, raven, owl, swan. The
offering was received and 'dedicat-
ed by Mrs. Bill Purdon. The hymn,
God be with you till we meet again
was sung. The meeting closed by
all repeating the' Lord's Prayer.
The Ladies Aid was held. The
collection received and closed with
the niizpah benediction.
Grace was sung and the hostess
served lunch. Mrs. Gordon Rintoul
gave the courtesy remarks.
