John H. Gillespie of Cambridge-Galt, Ont- ario was ,the official judge for the day. Hol-Den. Farm of Clinton, Ontar- io was named the show's premier breeder. Premier exhibitor of the day was Robert Carter of Blyth, Ontario. We left at 6 o'clock a.m. Our first stop Was the Welland Canal and the Thorold Locks. We then had' a ton. of Fort George at Niagara-on-the-Lake. We visited Brocks Monument at Queenston. We ate Our lunch in the park there. Our next stop was the Table Rock Scenic Tunnel. This is where we dressed in raincoats and rubber boots and weft under the falls. We saw the outdoor aptd indoor shoWs at Marineland. For our last stop before we headed home we went to the , top of the Skylon Tower. °On our way home we stopped in Guelph for supper. We arrived back in, Ripley shortly after 9 p.m. Everyone enjoyed our trip even though it rained for much of the day, Failure never leads a man to popularity — the royal road •to popularity is sweets.
