DESTROY WEEDS
Notice is hereby given.to all persons in possession of land,.
in accordance with the Weed control Act, 1971 Sec. 4,14,. ancl20,
that unless anions weeds growing on their lands within the
' Municipality' of Kinloss are ° destroyed by date of July 1, 1976
and throughout the season, the Municipality may• enter upon the
said y lands and have the weeds destroyed, charging the costs
against the land in taxes, an set out in the Act.

them to call on relatives on the 6th

where their mother was raised.

Mennonite Churches were there.
A variety of group games Were
enjoyed before everyone partici-.
pated in a scavenger hunt. Nine
teams matched their abilities as
they stumbled around in the dark
hunting for the trophy.

Died In 72nd Year
JOHN CROWSTON
John MacKenzie Crovkton of
Lucknow passed away on Tuesday,
hihe 8th at Wingham and District
Hospital in his 72nd year.
He was horn at Langdon, North
Dakota on May 24th, 1905, a' son of
Isaac Newton Crowston and Hanna
Showers. ,
In 1910 he returned to the home
farm in. Kinloss Township with his
parents and family where John
attended school at S. S. No. '9.
Later he took over the farm, where
he farmed until retiring to Lucknow
in 1965.
John also worked at the Maple
Leaf Aircraft factory 'in Lucknow for
a time and with the Department of
Highways for a short time after
moving to town.
On April' 18th, 1928 he married
Clara MacGillivray' of Kinloss
Township.
Mr. Crowston 'is survived , by his
wife, three sons and three daught.

The funeral service. was held at
MacKenzie.: Memorial Chapel,
Lucknow on Friday, June 11. Rev.
Deng Kaufman of Lucknow United
Church "conducted the service in
the absence of their* minister Rev..'
Glenn Noble of Lucknow Presbyter-
ian Church.
Pallbearers were Allan R. Miller,
Wesley Tiffin, Fred Tiffin, Law-
rence "MacLeod, Pat MacMillan,
William Evans. '
FloWer bearers were Ward
Walker, .Dale Crowston, James
Gregory, John Crowston and
Steven Irwin.
Interment was in Greenhill'
Cemetery.
"The Christian and Leisure" at
Sunday service in Dungannon
United Church. He extended an
invitation to ' partake 'in Holy
Communion next Lord's Day. .
A Memorial Service will be held
at Dungannon Cemetery on Sun-
day, June 27 at 3 p.m. with Rev. H.
G. Dobson as speaker. The
offering will be used for the upkeep
of the cemetery.
The. U.C.W. is looking for a
volunteer to attend the If.C.W.
Seminar at Alma College on
August 24.
Family camps will be held at Five
Oaks 'August I and 14, and at
MeneSetung July 30, 'August 2.
Festival of Faith 'is to be at King
Edward Hotel, •Toronto, November

Mr. and Mrs. Irvine Eedy have
returned from a five day visit in
Winnipeg, Manitoba. , Misses

Gareth Jones had the misfortune
to trip and• fall last week, tearing
ligaments in his ankle and necessi-
tating another cast. '
