FRACTURES HIP IN FALL
We are sorry to report that Mrs.
Lillian McClenaghan on Tuesday
last fell at the Nursing Horne at
Goderich and broke her. hip and is
now confined to . the Goderich
Hospital. Her many friends here
wish her a speedy recovery.

Cranston. of Goderich and Mrs.
Jean Farquason of. B.C. visited
recently with Miss Annie Kennedy
of Winghani.

Dalton Schultz at St. Joseph's,
Hospital, London is making recov-
ery from a stroke which struck him
prior .to his release on Wednesday.

Former Resident
Died In 63rdYear
THOMAS L. MacKENZIE
Thomas Laurier MacKenzie, a
former , Kinloss Township farmer
and a resident of Lucknow for a
time, passed away at County of
Bruce General Hospital, Walker-
ton, on Sunday,, June 13th in hi's
63rd year, For the past few'years
he had been a resident of Brucelea
Haven, Walkerton.
lie was born in Lucknow on
January 10;1914, a son of William
MacKenzie and Annie Paterson:
and attended Lucknow Public and
High Schools.
He married Doris May Cooke of
Schumacher, where they lived for
some time before returning to the
Lucknow area, farming in' Kinloss
Township. • `On November 21st,
1967 his wife Doris lost her life in a
tragic car -train accident.
..Tom as he was familiarly
known, is survived by .two sons,
Alex ' (Sandy), and Bruce, both of
Montreal; two grandchildren, And-
rea and Scott; his mother Mrs..
Annie MacKenzie of Pinecrest
Manor Nursing Home, Lucknow;
one sister Katharine of Thornhill
and two brothers Frank of Lucknow
and John, of Toronto.
He was predeceased by his wife
Doris in 1967, his father in 1941
and two brothers Alex of Vancouv-
er in 1961 and William of St. Clair
Shores, Michigan in 1963. • .
A ,private funeral' service was
held at MacKenzie Memorial
Chapel, Lucknow on. Wednesday,
June, °16th, Rev. Glenn Noble;
minister •of South Kinloss Presby-
terian . Church, of ./which the
deceased was a member, was
minister. He was also a member of
Lucknow Legion, Branch 309.
Interment was in South Kinloss
Cemetery. •
Pallbearers were Currie Colwell,
Evan • Keith, K. L. MacKenzie,
Donald Maclntyre, and nephews
Ian MacKenzie and ' Bob MacKen-
zie. , ..
Complete Breathing
Club Course
"The Physical Conditioning!
Course for Asthmatic Children"
and "The Better Breathing Club"
has just completed its • six week
course. There were five children
and seven adults attending. They
were fortunate in having Dr. J. C.
McKim and Elmer Umbach come.,
to speak to the group. Mr.
Khurana, the physiotherapist , at
Wingham and District Hospital,
attended • several meetings and
demonstrated and instructed the
class in exercises, stressing' those
that can improve breathing. •
Those leading the course were
Mrs. Evan . Keith, Miss Ruth
Thoinpson, Mrs. Wm. R. Hunter
and Mary Maclntyre. This course
was sponsored by the Bruce,
Dufferin, • Grey Lung Association,
which is financed through Christ-
mas Seal donations. ,
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim de
Boer on Friday evening with
around 20 attenders. The group
enjoyed a sing song with Graham
Kay and Cecil de Boer accompany-
ing with guitar music. Games were
played. Lunch was hamburgers.
All are reminded of the Memor-
ial Service to be held at Langside
Cemetery June 27 at 3 p.m. with
Mr. Bev Kay guest speaker. Bring
a folding chair. If weather is
inclement service will be held at
Langside Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry McGuire of
Elmira visited,Saturday with ' his
patents Mr. and Mrs. Russel
McGire and little Kimberley
returned home with her parents.
Brian McGuire spent his 2 weeks
holidays on a motor trip to the
