Here; at the • farm of Mr. and Mrs. Gerry, Meurs and family, 'a grain box was slammed „into the side of the. truck. The top was ,'taken off the silo and it lifted the roof of the barn, cracking the' timbers of the frame before letting the roof drop back on the barn. It took about one minute to destroy about a 25 acre path through the, corn field. While it lasted only a brief period, it peppered the area with large hailstones, threatening the windows in the 'house. Neighbours in the area, suffered no serious damage as apparently the twister lifted back into the sky. The Meurs, who came here about seven years ago,' live on the former Walmsley homestead, just west of the former Stinson farm,, or now Dort and Barbara Paquette's place.
