I. was held on June, 3rd at 8.30 p.m. This was'the. i/ Grandmother's meeting,. Sixteen members and one visitor attended. The meeting, opened with the Opening Ode followed by the Mary StewarS Collect, The roll call was "A hobby for my, retirement years". , The motto - "Be quick to see what is good and slow to see what is evil", was taken by: Mrs. Chris Coolce. The minutes of. the last meeting were read by the secretary Mrs. Jim 'Aitchison. She also gave the treasurer's report'. The assistant secretary,' Mrs. Gordon Struthers, gave her report. Business was dealt ,with. Awards to two Brookside - School pupils were discussed and Mrs. ChandIer is looking after • it. The new 1 976-1977 prOgrains were given' out. .• , Mrs. Gordon Struthers discussed, the plans for the bus trip in the. fall. It was decided to gO to Oshawa this year. The. District Annual was held on May 26th at Auburn. Mr's. • Harold Gaunt told of' the highlights of the meeting. Mrs. Russell. Phillips took the chair for the program.
