Mr. and Mrs. Russell Johnston
went to London on Friday with their
grandson, William. On Saturday,
June S they attended the wedding
of their granddaughter Susan
Johnston. They returned home on
Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Harold
Johnston and Lisa.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McWhinney
had a four day visit in Sault Ste.
Marie last weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. Robert' McWhinney and
attended the christening• of their
grandsOn, Robert Christophdi Mc-
Whinney, in John Wesley United
Church. Ken arrd Lexie Murch and
Vincent of Clinton §tayed at the
McWhinney's farm home in their'
absence.
Sympathy is extended to Mr. and
Mrs. J. C. Drennan and family on
the sudden death of Emily's father,
Mr. I. Wilson, in Goderich last
week. Mrs. Drennan spent a few
days in hospital last weekend and,
on getting out on, Wednesday, went ,
to her father's home and discover-
ed that he had passed away some
hours before.

and Mrs, Dobson were Mr. and
Mrs. ' Charles Elliott of Fenwick,
Mrs. Grace Robins of Fonthill, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles, Worsfold of
London and • Mrs.. Worsfold"s
mother, Mrs. Mead and cousin
from England. On Sunday Miss
Evelyn Curts and Manuel Curts of
Greenway and Miss Viola Curts of
London called at the manse.
Sympathy is extended to Mr. arid
Mrs. Cecil Culbert on the death of
her sister Mrs. Ellen (Shaw) Zorgel
of London in her 64th. year.
Mr. and Mrs. John Dobson of
Keswick visited his brother Rev. H.
G. DobSon and Mrs. Dobson on
Monday....

relatives of Mrs. David Martin of
St. Clements, who passed away last
weekend.
On Saturday evening the young
people from Christian Fellowship
Chtirch got together at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Martin for
the, last study in the book, "God, I
don't understand". Their study
centred Oil the word of God in our
daily life. The Young People .
welcomed home Marilyn' Wagler,
who has been attending Heston
College., Kansas, for the past year.
In Sunday service at Christian
Fellowship Church Pastor Doug
Zehr began a series of messages on
the" Holy Spirit with a sermon
entitled, Holy Spirit-Power. This
was an appropriate. time .to begin
such a series, this being Pentecost
'Sunday. ,
Mrs. Helen Blake and Mrs. Mary
Bere were among the teachers from
Brookside, who • attended the
Teacher's Federation Spring Ban-
quet at' .the White Carnation in
Holmesville on Wednesday 6ven-
ing.
The regional Field Day was held
at Brookside School On Friday with
over 300 pupils from 5 area schools
participating.
Mrs'. Cecil Blake spent Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kilpatrick
in Wingham and shared a visit with
cousins, Mr, and Mrs. Bert Barger,
Jbff and Ronda of Hanover, Mr.
Barger's mother is a' cousin of the
Kilpatrick's and he grew Up 'in
Western Canada, so they had not
met before.
