present.
After the minutes were approv-
ed, the following buiitiess was
dealt

Alton and' Cook Drains. There
being no appeals, the respective
by-laws were giveit third readings
and clerk was instructed to',
advertise for tenders.
Three tenders were received for
collecting garbage from the cottag-
es. The low tender of Joe Metzger
was accepted at a price of $2100, to
pick up garbage on Mondays from
June 14th to September 13th.'
The tender of Pollard Bros. for
applying calcium chloride on the
roads. was accepted at a price of
$82.50 per ton,.
Severance applications for
George Gibson and John Baier
were approve&
The report of the Local Governi-
ment Study for the County of
Huton was considered. Council
decided they were satisfied with
the present set up of County
Council.
Road accounts of $8,179.91 and
general accounts of $5,544.71, were
approved' for payment.
Council met again on May 18th
with all members present.
A delegation from the Ministry
of Natural Resources was present
and discussed the proposed con-
struction of a fish ladder and
improvements at the Port Albert
dam. Council decided to meet with
the District Municipal Engineer for
the M.T.C. before signing an ,
agreement with the Natural Re-
sources. •'
Matt Foley was engaged to pick
up .garbage at the various Town-
ship properties for the season at a
price. of ,$150.00.
The clerk Was 'instructed to make
application to the Ontario Mtinicip-
al Board for approval to finance the
proposed bridge and approaches at
lot 11, concession 4-5, Dungannon
at an estimated cost of $329,000.00,
part of, which will, be paid in 1977..
Clerk presented the 1976 budget
with a total expenditure of $837,324
which was approved and the mill
rates for 1976 were set.
Council adjourned to meet June .

of bride-elect Brenda MacLennan.
Miss Ainslie Martyni daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Martyn, was.
one of those who performed in the
recent dance 'recital held in
Kincardine.
Neil MacKenzie returned home
from' hospital and is getting'around
on crutches. •
