In her address to the gathering
Mrs... Diane Buchanan of Goderich
and a worker with . Birthright stated
that a pregnant woman has every
,right to • any' help-she may need to
see her through her pregnancy. A
woman that comes to Birthright is:
given free, confidential counselling
and through Birthright she can
make contact with other specialized
services. Abortion' need not be the
Way in the future. It is up to each of
us as individuals to do our part' to
stop the deterioration of our human
society. . •

what it is today.
On Tuesday, May 18th, the
Ludnow Brownies held their last
meeting until September. It was.to
weather wa$ so /cool the meeting
was held as usual in the town, hall.

May Raynard passed her test, for
cleaning a pair of shoes and
Donalda Thompson ran an errand.
The Brownies and their leaders
then enjoyed a lunch of hotdogs,
freshie and cookies, followed by the

Women's meeting was held on
May 13; at the home ',of Mrs.
Russell Irvin, with an attendance of
23. •.The president, Mrs. Chester
Hackett called the meeting to order-
with a few words of -welcome. 'Mrs..
Jerry Cranston read "A Beatitude
For MotherS". 'All repeated the
Lord's prayer in unison. The roll '
call was answered with averse with
the word "Plant". .
Mrs7 Donald Hackett-introduced
the devotional part of the meeting,
the theme being "Thy ,Will Be
Done". The Lord's. my' shepherd
was sung,• Mrs... Jack Irwin read
Psalit 121 and led in prayer'. Mrs.
Donald Hackett read a poem
"When Burdens Multiply". • All
joined in singing the hymn "Take
up thy cross, the Saviour. said".
Mrs. Irwin read a few more verses
of scripture from Matthew and
Mrs. Donald. Hackett gave, the
meditation. Hymn "Jesus Savioui,
pilot me" followed' and devotions
were -dosed with prayer. Mrs.
Warren Zitin gave a reading
"Mother's Day" and Mrs. William
Andrew •gave a short prayer.
The business followed, with a
report on the cleaning and renovat-
ing being done at the church. Mrs.
Frank Ritchie reported that she has
taken ,some of the children from
Trinity to visit at Pinecrest Manor
On April 19.
Mrs. Suzanne' Andrew presented
the study book which was about a
Missionary and.his family in Brazil.
She also read some letters from her
mother and father, who have been

ed disq,in his back which is taukrig
discomfort and curtailing his activ-

The Evening Auxiliary 'of the
Presbyterian Church, Lucknow
held their, monthly meeting in the
church On May 18 at 8 p.m.
Mrs. Lloyd Moffat opened the
meeting .with a poem. The Aim and
Purpose of the W.M.S. was
repeated in unison. •
The roll - , was' answered by
each Member presenting their
dime cards which supports the
bale. The correspondence was
read and dealt with. Plans were
made for the Presbyterial meeting,
which is being held in the Lucknow
Presbyterian Church this year,
May 31st.' The Evening Auxiliary,
will donate $100.00 to. the Kintair
Camp fund.
The scripture and meditation
were given by Miss Maudie Fisher.
Mrs. Bruce Raynard conducted a
Bible Quiz. Mri. En,a Henderson
presented the topic. Glad Tidings
highlights were given by iMiss
Maudie Sherwood. Hymn 185 was
sung and Mrs. Lloyd Moffat closed
with prayer. Lunch was served by
Mrs. Ross Gammie and .Mrs.
Kenneth Laidlaw.
