to. Quebec, which was two very
small paper bags, one, fitting into .'the. other. ,
Mr. Cayley spoke very highly of
the ,contributions of Dale and
Murray, both who are leaving the
band this • year 'to pursue studies
elsewhere.
Sandra Irwin and Karen Nichol-
son did a feW dance numbers to the
music of Gaslight Gaieties by the
senior band.
Murray Keith favoured with a
baritone solo accompanied by Mrs.
Tom Pritchard on the piano.
'Midway in the program, the
senior concert band left the stage.
and the Public' School junior band
took over for several numbers
which included a trumpet trio by
the Lucknow Brass, Paul Finlay,
Steve Atkinson and Colin Cameron,
accompanied by Anne Pritchard.
In the final portion of the Senior
Band program, Dale Lougheed
played a trombone solo, , also
accompanied 'by Mrs. Pritchard.
A tribute was paid to Gordon
ayley, bandmaster. by Dale
Lougheed's father, 'of Belgrave,
and the , audience showed their
appreciatiob with a standing ap,

Wingham Man
Dies At Age 58
WILLIAM S. REED
Funeral service 'was held Satur-
day at two o'clock at the R. A.
Currie and; Son Funeral Home,
Wingham, for a prominent Wing-
ham businessman, William Selby
Reed of 64 Victoria Street. Rev.
Robert H. Armstrong conducted
the service and interment foltowed
in Wingham Cemetery.
Pallbearers were six nephews,
Jack, Petrie of Tillsonburg, Paul
Linklater of London,, Leonard Reed
of Dungannon, Wayne Brown .of
Montreal, Allan Leggatt of Goder-
ich and Murray Leggatt of, Wing-,
ham.' Floral tributes were ,carried
by Percy Clark, John Cruickshank,
Jack Alexander and Leonard Phil-
lips.
Mr. Reed passed away
,
,ThUrs-
day, May 13, at the Wingham and
District Hospital following a, leng-
thy illness. He was in his 59th •
Born in West Wawanosh Town-
ship on May 3, 1918, he Was a son
of the late Jacob Reed and Louisa
Selby. ' He attended Dungannon
school and farmed before becoming
an employee of Ontario Hydro. At
the time of his death, he was a real.
estate broker and general insur-
ance agent in Wingham.
Mr. Reed' was a member of St.
Andrew's presbyterian Church
where, he served on the Board of
Managers.
Surviving are his wife, the
former .Lela Leggatt of Wingham,
whom he married in 1.946 in
Wingham; one son, Gary, and one,
daughter, Gloria, both of TOronto;
and three sisters, Mrs. Wilbur
(Thelma) Brown of Lucknow, Mrs.
JosePh',(Lily) Petrie of .Tillsonburg
and Mrs. Frank (Anna) Linklater of h

He was predeceased by three
brothers, Marvin, Russell, and
