First cousin of Mrs. E. 0 (Elsie) Forrester of Malcolm Street in Ripley, Dr. Geoffrey Parke-Taylor; dean of theology at' Huron College in London, was elected on the fourth , ballot, the second bishop suffragan for the Huron' Diocese. The election was held' last week in St. Paul's Cathedral in London. Last Saturday afternoon the wedding of Miss Margie Collins, daughter of Burton and Katherine Collins of Purple Grove,. and David William Lochhead of Stoney Creek, was held in St. Andrew's United Church in Ripley. Last weekend Mr. and Mrs. `Harold Wyld of Weston visited with his mother, Mrs. Minnie Wyld at' the 'Ripley Senior Citizens apartments. * William Robertson of Agincourt visited with his brother Bobby Robertson and called on friends in / the area during the -past `weekend. * * * * * * . Mrs, Gwen ColWell and John Papenfus of Korth Vancouver holidayed with Mrs. Herb Panel! / and Mr. and. Mrs. Don McCosh during the •week. They made their headquarters.. with; Currie. Colwell, Anpe and. Betty at South Kinlos,s. They attended a Cotwell 'family reunion picnic at Purple Grove, Community Centre on Sunday. About 75 relatives gathered for .a o'cloelc dinner to meet the folks. The funeral service for Orville. Finlay- son was' conducted by Rev. Cecil Carnochan of St. Andrew's Church at the MacLennan-MeCreath Fun- eral Home last Friday afternoon with interment in Ripley Cemetery,, Orville passed away on Tuesday, May 11, in ,the University. Hospital in London in his 73rd year. He, was born in Huron Township on January 11, 1904. Surviving are his wife, the. former Verna Hooey, and three daughters, Virene, Mrs. Alvin Thompson • of Kincardine Town- ship; Oral, Mrs. Murray Cameron of Weston; and Marilyn, Mrs. Robert. Johnston of Ripley, and ten ° grandchildren. It was just a few months since Orville and Verna Finlayson left the fourth concession east in Huron the former Breckenridge farm, and moved 'into their new home in Ripley.. Honour. Tom and Judy Howie, Faith and Titnmie of Kitchener spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Wardell. _Kincardine, Man Is Electrocuted On Town Job A 32-year-old Kincardine father' of two died Tuesday Morning of last week as the result of accidentally touching a 2400 volt' primary conductor.. 4 Elmer Percy,•32, was pronoiinc- ed dead in kincardine and District, General Hospital .after he • was rushed there by ambulance from the, scene of the accident. , • An 'employee of The Kincardine' Public Utilities Commission, Mr. Percy was installing a new conduct- or on the cross arm of a Hydro pole' on Russel Street near the Anglican Church when the' accident occur- red. • Shortly after 10 a.m,, he apparently touched the live 2400 volt primary conductor while work- ing from the bucket of the PUC truck, Hartley Watson, PUC' man- ager said. Mr. Percy leaves behind his wife Sharon, two daughters, Cindy 7 and Judy 5, and his parents George and Hazel Percy, also 'of Kincard- ine.
