Earlier in the :spring her team won .the regional championship over a, Scarborough- , team in Toronto. PlaYipg again in Toronto they won the Ontario ' Chainpionship. The all Canadian championship , series was recently played in Regina. Here the Markham girls playing against the other provincial winners won,15 of their 18 games and the Canadian Championship. The girls set a new record in winning the fifteen games - the most to date. The girls, . accompanied hy then' parents and team officials, flew from Toronto 'to Regina and, return. Lorne Mae- , ;Kenzie, a 'graduate of Ripley Public and District High School, ,will be remembered as an outstanding Pitcher with the Stratford Senior ball team while, he was on the staff of ,the Stratford' TeacherS' College there.
