Hewitt, 145 Main Street North, WaterfOrd, passed away April 19th at' Norfolk General Hospital in Simcoe. Mr. Hewitt 77, was born in, Kinloss, Ontario, and was principal of Waterford Public Schools fore 30 years until his retirement in 1964. He was also principal of Boston Public School. for 10 years prior to going to Waterford. Very active and. high respected in the community,' the Wift• F. Hewitt School on Bruce 'Street was named in his honour.. He was a member of Trinity Anglican. Church and active in the ' Brotherhood of Anglican Churchmen, was Past Master of Wilson Lodge, Waterford, was a life member of the Kinloss L.O.L , 898 and was a former member• of the Ex-Imperials Pipe Band in. Brantford. . Survivors include • his wife, the former Blanche Rusling; daughter Mrs. Patrick (Shirley) Wilkinson of. Toronto; son Walter Clark of Waterford; two brothers, Lenwood of Saskatoon, and Dean of Kinloss, and a sister Mrs. George (Isabell) Graham of' Kinlough: Tivo ' grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by two brothers Russell and Jack, and a sister Mrs. Kelso• Young. The late Mr. iHewitt rested at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, Waterford, until Wednesday when service was conducted at 3.30 p.m. by Rev. Howard Steinburg, assist- ed by Mr. Hewitt's nephew Reverend Alexander Hewitt, Bur- lington. Interment was in Green- wood Cemetery in Waterford. Pallbearers. were Cecil Crane, George Pullen, 'George Mayers. Don Rusling, George Saracuse arid Jim Jull. • Honourary bearers were David Murray, Elburn. Eldridge, Clifford Hare, James Hornby and James Bazso Sr. • At the graveside Pipe Major Alexander McRae of the Ex-Imper- ials 'Pipe Band of Brantford concluded the service by playing a lament. • • • CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank all of our friends, neighbours and relatives, Richard Sand,.
