Dr., and Mrs. 'Gary „pater of,
Ottawa recently left on' a trip to
Bruges, Belgium, where Gary is
presenting a paper at the Fourth
Brick Masonry World Congress.
After the conference, Ruth and
Gary will be holidaying in the
Canary Islands. Ruth is a daughter
of Mrs, Harold Treleaven, Luck-
now, and Gary is a' son of Mrs.
Elizabeth Suter, Wingham.
THAT
Ted Bissett, a member of the
Goderich Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment for 47 years, and chief for the
past 13 years, has resigned from
the department effective next
-, month. He has also retired from
his employment effective. May 31,
THAT
ErneSt Carter Jr. of Ingersoll,
formerly of this community, had a
dandy catch while -fishing -at Port
Albeit Saturday.. He caught a
Rainbow Troia . that measured 30
inches and weighed about' 18 -lbs.

Despite cool, wet weather condi-
tions, the recently formed Luc-know
Leo Club staged a successful. car
wash at the fire hall lot on Saturday
and were kept busy thioughout the
day,

Robinson, both of Lucknow,,shared
the $125 , jackpot at the Lucknow
Legion bingo on Thursday evening.

A group of members from the
Lucknow Leo Club attended the
Charter Night of Blyth Leo Club on
Friday night in Blyth.

An all day Sunday snowfall,
which produced inches of snow,
plus continued cold weather into
mid week, has made area residents
conscious. _ of winter coats and
snowboots once again, despite the
tropical temperatures of Easter
weekend, one week earlier.

Junior Women's Institutes of
Ontario ln Fonthill on Saturday,
April 24th. An interior decorator
demonstrated window dressings
and bathroom decor to the young
women assembled.
Mrs. Oliver McCharles of Loch-
alsh returned home on Sunday
from Victoria Hospital, London,
where she was a patient for almost
six weeks after undergoing surg-
ery. -
Mrs. Wellington Henderson,
Lucknow, returned last week from
Port Orange, Florida, where she
spent the winter months.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ashton have
returned to Lucknow after spend-
ing the winter at Hallandale,
Florida.
Mrs. Harvey Houston accompan-
ied the F.W.LO. president, Mrs.
Herb Maluske of Chesley and
secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Earl
,Morden of Rodney to Stoney Creek
and Niagara Falls on Friday.
Saturday they attended the Junior
Women's Institute Spring meeting
at Fonthill.
Mrs. Sadie Hamilton of Lucknovv
returned home Sunday after spend-
ing three weeks in University
Hospital; London where she had
surgery.

McKim, all of Lucknow, attended
the annual meeting of the Beaver
Division Of the Girl Guides of
Canada: held at Formosa on
Saturday.

Susan, Nancy and Donalda of
Lucknow visited Easter weekend
with Dr. and Mrs. Fraser Ashton,
Antoine and Stefanie 'at Lucerne,
Quebec.

We were happy to learn that Ted
Rice was released from hospital at
Wingham on Friday. •

This community was shocked to
learn on Firday morning that
George D. Fisher, a former
resident of our community, had
passed away due to a heart attack.
The community extends sincere
