Peter ,Frayne has completed
studies at Laval University, Quebec
and arrived home here on 'Good
Friday, April .16 to spend the
- summer vacation at the home of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Frayne.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Copper-
auill and daughter Elizabeth of
Detroit, Michigan visited recently
with Mr. .and Mrs. Walter , Clare
and Mary Luanne. they all
travelled to Toronto for the Easter
celebrations which were held- at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Ryan,
and family.,
Missc Margaret Frayne who is
employed in •London spent the
Easter weekend at the home of'her
parents Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Frayne.
Renovations have been complet-
ed at the Parish Hall at Kings-
bridge. The members of the
Kingsbridge Catholic Women's
League held a cleaning bee there
on . Tuesday, April 20.
NEWS
The. Brownies opened their
meeting on Tuesday, April .20th
with a game "preshan", followed
by Brownie Ring. Mae Raynard '
was Fairy Queen and the , Sixers
collected Brownie Gold. Tawny
Owl did inspection for names in
berets. Everyone joined together
in. the Brownie Prayer.
At Pow Wow. Tracey McDonagh
read two poems and a story she had
written for the Writer Badge.
Brown Owl checked with all the
-Brownies to see what badges they,
are Working for and everyone is to
try and get these completed.
During work period Brown Owl
had Rosemary Gilmore and Sharon
Struthers teaching them Finger
Spelling. Packie hart some of the.
Golden Ladder Brownies for com-
pass. Tawny Owl took the Golden
Bar girls on a short obgervation
walk and after 'arriving back -at
the hall, a discussion was held on
what each Brownie saw and heard.
Mae Raynard passed her test for
sewing on two kinds of button's.

the 'bridal shower for Miss Joan
Chester, daughtefof Mr. and Mrs.

Anglican Parish Hall in Lucknow on
Thursday, April 22. Her marriage
to Michael Courtney, son of Mr.
and 'Mrs. Leo Courtney of Goder-
ich, will take, place in Kingibridge
on Saturday, May 8 at 4 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim. Arnold,
owners of the Lanesville Store since
1971, have sold the store to Mr.
and Mrs.. ',Gordon Kemp .of Lot 7,
&concession 10, Ashfield Toivnship.
Mr. and Mrs. Keinp are holding an
auction sale of livestock and
machinery on Tuesday, April 27.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Arnold have
bought a house in Lucknow and will
be moving to this new location on
•May 14.

A " large crowd , attended the
dance held in the Saltford Valley
Hall on Friday, April 22, sponsorid
by' the Lucknow Lancers Intermed-
iate Hockey team. Music for
dancing was supplied by the
Maitland Sundowners.
The hydro was off in this area for
approximately 5 hours on Sunday'',
April 25, and winter has returned,
thus putting a stop to the seeding
operations. '
