Education Week • was observed
this past week in all schools in the
area. At St. , Joseph's School,
KingSblidge, parent-reache:i inter-
'iaiews were held on Tuesd4, April
6 from 7 to 8 p.ni. Following this, a
Metric'. Workshop, for parents was
presented in the school gymnasium.

10 a.m. on Wednesday. Parents
visited classrooms during the day
and took part in the lessons being

Thursday, April 8 a Confirmation
Workshop for parents was held in
the school gym with MiSs Mary
Kennedy, religious instructor and
Reverend Father Ed Dentinger,
speakers. The chairman for the
program was principal Clem Steff-
ler. On Friday afternoon parents
attended an audio-visual • presenta-
tion on "The Life of ChriSt",
followed by a number of skits
written and presented by students
from Girades 5 and' '6. 'Musical
presentations were performed by
Kindergarten, and Grades '1, 2, 3,
and 4.• •

extended to .Mrs. Mary Hogan of
Lucknow and formerly of this area
on the sudden passing of her sister,
Miss Margaret Jane. Kelly (Peg) at
her late. residence in Lucan on
Friday, April '2, in her 6$th year.
Her body rested , at the C. Haskett
-and Son Funeral Home in Lucan
until Tuesday, April 6' when
Funeral Mass was celebrated in St.
Patriek's Church, Bidclulpli Town-
ship by 'the Reverend. J. McGraw.
Interment was in the St. Patrick's

A large • crowd attended the
benefit dance held in the Brookside
Public School on Friday evening,
April 9 for Mr. and Mrs. Donnie
Rae' Scott who recently lost their
barn by fire. Clem Steffler read the
address to Don and Shirley and
they. were presented with a purse 'of
money. Boyd's Orchestra provided

ta, arrived home 'on Sunday, April
11' to spend a month's holidays at
the home of his parents, •Mr. and
Mrs. Joe. Courtney, and family.
Shawn Dalton of Rocky, Mountain
House, Alberta accompanied Brian
and plans to remain home to help
with the spring planting. Shawn is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark
Dalton.

Mrs. Tony Miltenberg and

on Thursday, April 8 from Holland
where they have been visiting
relatives and friends for the past
three weeks. Mr. Miltonberg spent
two weeks in Holland and returned
