A flock of snow geese have
attracted wide attention at the farm
of John .de Boer, 2nd 'concession of
Kinloss. It's the first year that the
geese have settled at de Boers.
They are white, with black mark-
ings. Originally there were about
80 in the flock, with about 30
having left- when we talked to Cecil .
de Boer last Friday.
Mrs. Allan (Eileen) Miller of

given up the, position of St. Helens

THAT
A fire call on Tuesday of last
week about 4 p.m. took Lucknow
Fire Department to the farm of
Lorne McDonald 'in Ashfield,
known 'to many as the former Frank
Hamilton place. A house, which
was being torn down, burned.
Firemen responding to the call
were Gary Austin, Jim Sutherland,
Terry Rathwell, Stuart Collyer,
Ken Johnstone, Barry McDonagh
and Don McMtirray.

Mrs. P. G. Newbold of Lucknow
returned from Florida by air on
Saturday and was admitted to
Wingham Hospital. Mr. and 'Mrs.
George Newbold are flying to
Florida and will return with Mr. P.
G. Newbold 'by auto.

after a two week holiday in
Honywood Beach, Florida.

weeks in Norwood, accompanied
