Mr. and Mrs. Bill Caslick Of. Culross and Mrs. Earl Caslick were Friday visitors with Dr. and Mrs. John Willis and, family of Kincard- ine. Mrs. Caslick remained with them till Sunday. Mr. Gaunt won:the riding by 10,393 votes. The NDP candidate 'in the riding, Dr. Don Milne, spent $86, probably the loWest amount of any candidate for 'the three major parties in the province. ' In fact, it cost Dr. Milne's Campaign $120 to audit the $86. The $120 will be covered in full by the election expenses commission. Dr. Milne received' 2,613 votes for the $86. Dr. Milne was one of seven NDP candidate's, in the nine area ridings outside Londbn and Middlesex who failed to qualify 'for a provincial subsidy. . • The subsidy, which varies 4w cording to the number of voters in the riding, is available only. to candidates who receive at least '15 percent of the vote. Another NDP, candidate failing to qualify for a subsidy was Paul Carroll (Huron-Middlesex). In Huron-Middlesex, liberal Jack Riddell spent $19,140 compar- ed to $21,416 for Conservative • James Hayter and $1,430 for Mr: Carroll, the NDP candidate.
