Mrs. Leroy Rintoul, Carol,
Kimberley and Debbie on Thurs-
day returned home to Tottenham
after visiting a few days with Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Rintoul and Mr.
and Mrs. Stanley Black of Bei-
grave. They were accompanied
home by Mrs. Harvey Black and
family of Belgrave.

han of St.- ThomaS visited Sunday

Mr. and. Mrs. Wallace Milligan,
Mary Lou and Brian Falconer, were
at Streetsville on Saturday where
they visited with' Mr. and Mrs. Pat
Donnelly and celebrated Angela's
third birthday. Clara Milligan and
Beverley Bell' who visited at the
Donnellys last week returned home
with them.

In, Huron-Bruce, Conservative'
William Walden spent $21,358 in,
losing compared to $9,115 for MPP
Murray Gaunt. Mr. Gaunt won:the
riding by 10,393 votes.
The NDP candidate 'in the riding,
Dr. Don Milne, spent $86, probably
the loWest amount of any candidate
for 'the three major parties in the
province. '
In fact, it cost Dr. Milne's
Campaign $120 to audit the $86.
The $120 will be covered in full by
the election expenses commission.
Dr. Milne received' 2,613 votes for
the $86.
Dr. Milne was one of seven NDP
candidate's, in the nine area ridings
outside Londbn and Middlesex who
failed to qualify 'for a provincial
subsidy. . •
The subsidy, which varies 4w
cording to the number of voters in
the riding, is available only. to
candidates who receive at least '15
percent of the vote.
Another NDP, candidate failing to
qualify for a subsidy was Paul
Carroll (Huron-Middlesex).
In Huron-Middlesex, liberal
Jack Riddell spent $19,140 compar-
ed to $21,416 for Conservative
• James Hayter and $1,430 for Mr:
Carroll, the NDP candidate.
Mr. Riddell, the incumbent, won
the riding by 3,795 votes over Mr.
Hayter.

sponsored a card party in St.
Augustine Parisll Hall on Thurs-
day, March 25.' There were eight
tables in play.
Prizes went to high man,. Gus

que; high lady, Mrs. Tom Law-
rence; low lady, Irene Finleon; door
prize, Leo Foran.
