The Ripley Juvenile game in
Honeywood Sunday was cancelled

night, with ' the. third game if
necessary in Ripley Saturday at 7
p.m.

iate hockey' team sunkthe Goderich
Sailors in seven -tough games and
now go. against Port 'Elgin for 'the
division finals with the first game
Scheduled. for Tuesday night. •
On Tuesday, March 2 the Sailors
came to -Lucknow with the series
• tied 1-1. The local squad played
rather sloppy at times and the-
Sailors took advantage to end the
game 9-5 to go ahead in the series
2-1. Lucknow's scoring went to
Graham Hamilton 2, Jim Murray,
Garry. Courtney and Harvey Living-
ston. This loss fired the boys up for
a super effort for the rest 'of the
series.
The following night in Goderich,
the Lancers played a super steady-
game with trDonahue playing for
first star status. Stevenson,•
Emberlin and Mugay scoring with
40 seconds left to go came home
tying the series 2-2. Assists'went to
Frayne, Hamilton, Livingston and
MacKinnon with 2. •
Back in Goderich Friday, March
5 . for game 5, the Lancers
completely dominated the Sailors
throughout, the game but couldn't
beat Sailor goalie Rob Kallistine
more than twice.. The game ended
with Lucknow ahead in shots and
penalties, but losing 4-2. ScOring
was by Emberlin froM Stevenson
and. Livingston from Forster.
Back in LucknoW Saturday night
with their backs to the wall, • the
Lancers played a tough and steady
• game 'before a large and spontan-
eots crowd. .The referees called
the game • for a•few minutes in
the third period to let a number

tie with. Blyth winning on shots on

Mildmay in their first game of .the
day winning 7 to 2 over Mildmay

round.
Grant Murray scored 4 goals and
had 1 assist.
Todd Ritchie, Ross Pickard and
Alex West each received one goal
with assists going to Todd Ritchie
3, Brian De Groote 2, Steve
Hamilton 2 and Alex West, Chris.
Irwin and John D. MacKenzie, one
assist each.

Hockey Tournament for the,champ-
ionship and consolation trophies.

wrap up the series in the 7th game.
The bush league, line proved their
worth to the club scoring the
winning goal and playing some
great penalty killing. O'Donahue
played another great game to hold
the boys 'up for their come-from:.

Sailors up most of the ,time with
hard hitting and strong skating.
Graham Hamilton started the
Lancers scoring to tie the game on
a break away and a whistling slap
shot unassisted. Allan Rhody
scored the winner early in the last
period with, their line checking very
aggressively. Paul Frayne got the
insurance goal on a real boomer
shot from the point. Assists went
to Garry Courtney,' Steve. Hackett
and Ross Forster: •
The Lancers have real moment-.
um going into the round with Port
Elgin' and are sure to, represent
themselves very well. The great
home town support is very, much
appreciated. Let's cheer them on!!
Next , home games will be
Thursday night at 8.30 and Sunday
night at, 8.00 with a game in Port
Elgin Friday night.
