Gang was held on Wednesday,
February 11,. The meeting opened
with the 4-H pledge followed by the
roll 'call. Debbie Bolt read the
secretary's report. .
Lorna Boyle 'and Susan Thomp=
son demonstrated how to make
Raspberry Bavarian Cream and
Debbie Bolt and Karen Lindsay
made Peach Layer DeSsert. A
discussion was held 'about dried,
ftozen and canned fruits. The
assignments for Achievement Day
were also discussed,

uring Fruit was organized on
Monday evening, ,February 9 by
leaders Mrs. Archie Purdon and
Mrs. Walter Elliott at the hOme of
Mrs. Waller Elliott. Present :were " Kathy and Lori Purdon, Lori, Ann
Jamieson, Wendy Kay and •Clara
Milligan.
.The meeting „opened by repeal-
ing the 441 pledge. Officers-
elected were president, Lori Ann
Jamieson; 1st vice, Wendy Kay;
secretary, everyone take a turn;
press reporter, Clara Milligan.
The club will be known as 'the
.Fruity 'Five and ,will hold' their
meetings on Wednesday evenings
at 7 p.m. The next meeting will he.
February 16 at 7 at .the home of
Mrs. Archie Pardon. Each
member is to contribute 75c to help
. with expenses, Kathy and Cori
Purdon will demonstrate Baked
Apples at the next meeting.
The members pamphlets were
given out. An outline of the project
and• requirements were given. •

Thursday, February 12 in the
school for third meeting. We
opened the meeting with the 4-H
pledge. Brenda Grubb 'read the
minutes of the 'last meeting.
Joanne Ritchie gave the treasurer's
report. We decided' to use Grace.
Alton's designed cover with black
letters. Elizabeth Black demon-
strated how to make Peach Layer
Dessert while Ruth Alton demon-
strated how to make Raspberry
Bavarian Cream. Mrs. Ritchie
discussed about Fruit The. Year
Round. We closed the meeting
with the 4-H Creed. .
Fruit Cups
The Clover Valley Fruit Cups
was opened with the 4-H pledge. It
was held at Donna Elphices . on
Wednesday, February 11.. Ten
memibers answered the roll call
which was' "Two reasons why I eat •
fruit". The members decided\ on
name of club, design for cover as
well as place and time, of next
meeting.
Both leaders discussed. Ontario
fresh fruits, imported fresh fruits;
and inspection and grading.
Mrs. Ken Elphiek demonstrated
fresh plum-peach Compote. Mrs..
Dave Elphick- did preparation of
citrus fruits and made some fresh
fruit cups. Both leaders demon-
, strated baked apples. These dishes
were enjoyed by all members.
We closed the meeting % with the

score of 4-3., They 'were back in
Lucknow Mcinday, evening,' Febru-
ary 9 and the score was 9-0. This is
the first of the playoff in the best 2
out of 3. Richard got a goal 'and;
assists on Monday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Russel McGuire of
Highway 4 visited Tuesday evening
with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson.
