A small family wedding was held,
Saturday, December 13th when

The bride is the daughter of Mr.

The bride, given in marriage by
her parents, wore a floor-length
gown of silk jersey with matching
jacket,.long fringed scarf and white
felt Borsalino picture hat.. She
Carried a 'bouquet of holly and
white.. mums.
Miss Janet Splan of Woodstock,
sister of the groom, was maid of
honour. She wore a flbor-length
crepe .gown in Christmas red shade
and carried a bouquet of holly and
white mums.
John •Gossier of Woodstock,
friend of the groom, was' grooms-
man. Ushers were. Bruce Utley and
Bill Chishohn, brother of the bride.
Organist was Miss Laurie Chis-
holm, sister of the ,bride.
The ushers and guests each
received a small spray of.. holly.,
.A dinner followed at the Goder-
ich Legion Hall with the guests
returning to the home of the bride's
parents for a social 'evening. .
The bride's 'mother wore a
floor-length gown in rust shades
with matching jacket.
The groom's mother 'wore • ,a
floor-length gown in American
'beauty shade with matching cape.
Both wore corsages of white
mums with sprayed holly.
For travelling the 'Oxide chose a
knitted dress and matching sweater
in shades of brown.
The :couple are residing a1 R. R. 2
Clinton where the groom is
employed with Dominion Roads,
Goderich and the bride is employed
at Ate' Goderich Medical Centre.
Prior to her wedding the bride
was honoured at a . neighbour
shower at the hOme of Mrs..
Marylou Priestap, a relatiye shoW-
er at the • hoine of Mrs. Doris
Hodges and a girlfriend shower at
the home of Mrs. Chris Spitzig.

MRS. RODERICK CAMPBELL'
,•• Mrs. ,Roderick Campbell of
Lucknow passed away. at Pinecrest
Manor 'Nursing Home on MOnday,
•:February 9 in' her 93rd, year.
The former Catherine Fisher,
daughter 'of 'James Fisher and
Barbara MacMillan, she was, born
in Kinloss Township on September
21st, 1883. • • •
On February . 10, 1909 , she
married Roderick Cairipber of
Kinloss Township. They farmed in
Kinloss for number of years
before moving to Lucknow. Mr..
Campbell passed away in 1953.
Besides her husband she was
predeceased by a daughter Marion
Hunter in 1973, also two sisters and
two brothers. ••
Mrs. Campbell is, survived by
two daughters Mrs.. Harry (Mary)
Lavis • of Lucknow; Mrs. Alex
(Catherine) Campbell of Wingham
and two sons, Harold and Bob,
both of Lucknow; eleven: grand-
children, eleven great grandchild-
'ren; and two sisters and one
brother Mrs. Philip (Jean) SteWart
of Lucknow,, Mrs. E. 'A. (Marion)
Reynokts, of Toronto and Robert
Fisher of ,Lucknow. .
The funeral service was held. at
MacKenzie Memorial Chapel,
Luckriow on .Wednesday, February
11th. Rev. Glenn Noble, minister
at South Kinloss Presbyterian •
'Church of Which -the deceaSed was
a member, conducted the service.
Temporary entombment was at
South Kinloss Mausoleum, with
final resting place 'South Kinloss
Cemetery.. •
Pallbearers were Leonard Mac-
lnnes, Lloyd Irwin, Donald C.
Maclntyre, Gordon Fisher, Gordon
Struthers, Jiin Lavis.',

Institute
Lucknow Women's Instittite held
their regular meeting in the
assembly room in the town hall on
Monday afternoon, February 9th.
After singing the Institute Grace, a
tasty dessert was served by the.
committee.
Mrs. Armstrong Wilson wel-
cowed all and the meeting was
opened with the Ode and Collect.
The minutes, treasurer's report
and correspondence were read by
the seeretary-treasurer, Mrs:
Bert Gammie and the business was
dealt with. The . roll call was
answered by naming a city or town
beginning With the initial of your
name and telling what it is noted
for. We were very pleased to have Z
visitors present. A thank you card
was read from Mrs, George
Whitby.
Mts. Bob Helm was Chairman for
the program , and 'opened with a
"verse "A Sniile".- All . enjoyed
singing with Mrs. Wes Ritchie.
playing the piano. Mrs. Stewart:
MacGillivray gave a very pleasing
piano, instrumental. The motto
"Nothing is so contagious as. a
good example" was well given by
Mrs. Sant Gibson. Mrs. Helm then
called On Mrs. Gilbert Hamilton
who gayc a summary of Harry J.
Boyle's book "Honiebrew and
Patches" telling about the interest-
ing old Eatons catalogues and the'
home remedies tlit they had for
colds and other ailments in his
boyhood.
