pressure on for the third period but
couldn't beat a tie. Scoring went to

Grahain Hamilton had 'to , go for
stitches for a nasty slaSh on the '
nose from the -Hanover goalie. He
returned in the third period to
finish the game.
On Monday night the Lancers
were host to the hefty Milverton
Four Wheel Drives who were
driving on all fotir wheels. The
.Lancers went down to a' crushing 11
to. 1 defeat: 'In the ,last minute of
play. Paul Frayne scored, assisted
by Harvey, Livingston, to foil a
shutout for Milverton,

Lucknow Pee Woes went 'down to,
defeat two games straight in their
best two-out-of three series • with
Milverton. '
In the 'game in Milverton
February 12th, the score was 7.4
for Milverton. Scoring for Lucknow
were two goals for Alan Rivett, one
each for Richard Moore and Glenn
Raynard. Assisting were David
Gibson, Alan Rivett, Richard
Moore and Allan- Eadie. Milverton
°goals were, by Ehgoetz three;
Bowman two, and singles to
Schmidt and Strachan. Five of
Milverton's goals were in the third
period.

Back in Lucknow on February 14,'
Milverton 'came from behind once
again fora 3-2 win. 'Lucknow goals '
were by David Gibson-unassisted
and Alan Rivett 'from Richard
Moore. Milverton goals were by
'Bowman . two and a single by
Ehgoetz.

Lancers' Best

The Lancers travelled to Hanover
for the' second , last hockey game of
the schedule. Hanover took :
advantage of some very sloppy first
period play by the Lancers : and
jumped ahead 4-0, ending the first
period. - Hanover maintained the
lead ' throughout the ,game as
Lucknow couldn't, manage a strong
attack for long at a time. Final
score was 8-3: Hanover. Lucknow
scoring' Went to Doug Stevenson
from Dave MacKinnon; Jim Mur-
ray from Dave MacKinnon and
Brian MacDonald; and Dave Mac-
labnori from Harvey Livingston
and Jim. Murray.
Sunday night at home started out
to be a repeat of Thursday with
Hanover taking, a quick lead.
Lucknow came on strong in the
second and third period before a,
large and spontaneous crowd.
They ended up battling to a 6-6 tie'.

Lucknow Atoms opened their
second round ' of. the W.O.A.A.
playoffs in Milverton on Monday
night on 'a losing note. .
The Lucknow boys played, a
sloppy game and were defeated
5-1. David Emb.erlin scored' the
only goal, assisted by 'Jamie Bere.
Second game in the best
two-out-of-three series will be
played next Monday night ' in'
Lucknow at 7.30 p.m. Give the
boys your support, as this game is a
must,, if they are to continue in the
champiOnship series.

Friday night,. the Ripley Midgets
played the first game in 'a 2 out of 3
series with Howick Midgets. After
10 minutes of overtime, the: score
was still tied 5 - 5.: Mike Pollock
scored the hat trick, with. Keith
Pollock and Bill Rutledge scoring
the other tallies.
The next game is Thursday night

For the first time in six years,
Lucknow Juveniles• failed to be a
representative in the Ontario Minor
Hockey Association' .playoffs.
Lueknovv was defeated by, a strong
Mildmay team.

They now go into a Western
Ontario Athletic Association
championship series starting a two
out of three series with Kincardine,
playing the first February 15th in
which Ken Reid paced the locals
with five goals and one 'assist.
Denni' Thompson with two goals,
Paul Simpson with one goal and
four assists and Tom Peterson with
one' goal and four assists, with
assists going to John. Hamilton, 1
assist; Don Burley, one assist; Cam
Cook, 1 assist;, Doug Shiell, two
assists. They, won the game 9 - 5.
The second game will be played
in Kincardine on Wednesday night..

Win Opener
The Ripley Juveniles' emerged
from the fog Sunday afternoon with
a 12-2 victory over TiVerton in the
opening game of a best 3 out of 5
series. Scorers included Peter
MacDonald, '2 goals and 2 assists;
Johnny Elliott, 2 goals and 1 assist;
,Mike Gallant, 2 goals and 1 assist;
Larry Farrell, 2 goals and 2 assists;'
Kevin cook, 1 goal; Scott Regier, 1

Leafs 8-4 in the first game. Brian
Arnold led the Hawk's with 4 goals,

The Bruins defeated the Rangers-
