lack of muscle Control,. His legs are affected More than his arms'
but he has recently started to walk and *he shows considerable
dexterity in handling balls.
Besides his physical problem, Chris is below average: men-
tally. He is, expected to :need speCial, education and it is'Jiot yet
'known what his potential . • .
His diffieulties do not spoil life for Chris -- he is a inerry,-af- •
fectionate, outgoing child who loves people and animals. Life is,
a great adventure for him and he has no fears.
He needs parents who will give him much love and attention
and who will understand that he will require special care and.
opportunities to develop to the limit of his abilities.

meeting and • treasurer's report
were, presented and approved.
Ben Malda reported that Rohert
McKinley has been approached to
protest against 3 totally unbiased
men studying the Abortion Law in
Canada. This protest has been
'forwarded to the Party Whip who
will bring it' to the 4floor of the
House of Parliament. The mem-
bers of the committee studying
Abortion Law in Canada are: Dr.'
Marion Powel, Mme. Fortin Car-
ron, and.Mr. Badgely. Also argued
were the terms of reference of the
committee, e.g. are hospitals
opposing abortion on-.demand?
In, other business, literature is to
be placed in doctors' offices, local
high schools, libraries, etc.
The second annual meeting is to
be held May 5 in St. Paul's
Anglican Church. •
The topic was discussed about
running a newspaper ad in the.
Brussels, Blyth, Lucknow, Tees-
water and Wingham papers.

meeting was held February 18 at
the, home of Mrs. George Fisher,:
Wingham., The president, Miss
Merle Wilson, opened the meeting'
with the Ode'. and Collect and,
extended, a warm 'welcome to
visitors and members.
It s was decided to' send the
incoming president, Mrs,' Russel
McGuire, to the conference. The
roll' call was answered by 23 recit-
ing or reading a poem from a school •
reader.
The motto, All our children need
today is L.S.D..- Love, Security 'and
DisciPline was prepared by Mrs. T.
Metcalfe and read by Mrs. Dan
Tiffin. The committee appointed to
be in charge of arrangements for
the District - Annual being held at
Whitechurch in May were Mrs. Bill'
Milton', Mrs. Lorne .Durnin and
Mrs. Fred Tiffin. --
- The guest speaker 'was Maiwin
Smith Of Natural Resources who
spoke on Woodlots. To assist
farmers the Ministry of, Natural,
Resources will inspect a •woodlot
and an agreement • Made may be
made where the ' woodland im-
provement work may be done free
of charge; "Al! owners of lots of 5
acres or more 'may qualify for
woodland improvement. ' The
agreement lasts for 15 years,
At the close of the addresS the
ladies asked for information 're-
garding the Dutch Elm disease,
Maple tree disease and. Cedar trees
turning brown.' Mr. Smith was
thanked and preSented with a gift.
TWo contests were held and won

a piano solo. Treats were brought
for the Valentine boxes. Lunch was
